Since the game on sunday, i'm gutted we lost the league but if there's one positive to take out of it, its the glory hunters, i hope they support another team i.e. Man City, i'm sure the ''local'' support will greet them with open arms. I will always Support United in any league whether it will be the premier league or the championship.

I don't think you get relegated for coming second in the league.

Can't say im particularly happy that we are trophyless, would you (A) rather have loads of trophys and some glory hunters or (B) No trophys and no glory hunters. There are positives you can look at like maybe we are more likely to strengthen in the summer now or the above example you used but lets be honest we would rather be celebrating number 20 right now than worrying about glory hunters supporting the club.

The way I look at it is if you never lose winning isn't enjoyable. Im nor to worried that we've won nothing, as we've won enough over the last 20 years

Don't mind losing. As Matth says it's like a cull to get rid of all the phonies. It's the way we lost and to "them" that hurts.

I'd prefer the glory hunters to be buying our merchandise and putting their money into our coffers than Cities.

and we will continue to win :).... this season was just not our season, the table proves that, we got 89 points, normally that's enough to win the league but its not to be. we have to look for next season and rebuild and be stronger.

People have glory hunter all wrong, if people buy kit and channels and tickets and all the other crap, they are fans, what are you talking about, someone that probably invets more in united than the supposed real supporters many of which don't put a fkn dime into Manchester United. Are you one of those? What's your yearly spend on Manchester United seeing as you are such a great supporter?

Glory hunters follow success. Winning trophies = more glory hunters.

I'd gladly put put with a few extra glory hunters if it means we're winning titles every year. Do you think Liverpool fans are saying "Yay, no more glory hunters!"?

Well that makes you a supporter, even if you only care when they win it still means you support the club so, glory hunters buy 1 jersey for the pub on cup final or CL final day and couldn't name the starting 11 without looking at the TV

Also matt, your post made no sense at all

United ain't a toy to me, they are a famliy club, we look after our own which was the case on tuesday night when we gave one of our legends ( harry Gregg ) a testimonial, United are a special club, we play attacking football and we promote young players unlike ceratin clubs.

Are you serious? You're calling me a numpty, do you have the IQ of a barstool BringBackfootie? <confused>

Let me spell it out for you, since I left the finger puppets at home. This thread is about Matth saying that United would hopefully have fewer glory hunters since we didn't win the league title.

If you can't understand the fact that gloryhunters follow successful clubs then I'm afraid there's no hope for you...

Clearly it has everything to do with United, since this is a thread on our board and directly relates to us not winning the title. Being the most successful Premier League club by a country mile, and the club with the most fans worldwide, results in United having masses of gloryhunting fans.

Finally, Liverpool. Being a Liverpool fan yourself you may be familiar with the fact that your club has just endured it's worst league season since 1954, you've sacked most of the local (non-US) senior management at your club, as well as Dalglish. No Champions league for three seasons either. Conclusion: Liverpool have suffered a dreadful lack of success recently. This is especially relevant since Liverpool are one of the clubs with a very big worldwide following, hence the presence of many glory hunters. My point was that Liverpool will have lost many of its glory hunting fans lately, but they would gladly welcome them back if it meant success on the pitch.

If this is still incredibly confusing, PM me... I'll send you a crayon drawing. <ok>
