Sorry lads but he has just won player of the year and QPR will offer him a new improved contract so i cannot see him going.
He is coming to the end of a career and we can offer him a better deal. I think NW is doing this to try and please fans.

I would take that back four and go as far as saying it would look as 'promising' as any back four in the division, I wouldn't mind one more signing putting some pressure on Lees for the CB position. It would be nice to get the defence concluded this week then look forward to who we might sign in a central midfield and wide position.

Would you be happy deploying McCormack on the flank & sitting Becchio up tops with Somma? McCormack had been excellent anywhere he played last season <ok>

I guess it depends on how Warnock sees Somma. Will he have a fair crack of the whip or be the impact sub Grayson used him as? He never really got a run out with a strike partner appart from in the last 20 minutes.

A hard one, it depends on Snoddy, if Snoddy stays no, I would rather someone with lightening pace (and an end product), if Snoddy goes then yes and replace Snoddy with a pacey player. To be honest, I am hoping we are wrong about Ward and I am hoping it is Halford who we are about to sign at RB as he chips in with goals as well. Can see us at set pieces, Halford 6' 4", Somma 6' 3", Pearce and Becchio 6' 1" it would take some defending. It would be nice if we were less predictable next season, tall players at set pieces for the opposition to worry about, a pacey winger for them to fear, a central midfielder to make runs, I can't wait for our next couple to arrive so we can start to see what NW is thinking

Wow, I had no idea Somma was that tall! I dont really see Halford as a right back, hes a bit prone to errors there. Hes a CB for me but an improvement anywhere he is played to be honest <ok>

NW will do a good job at Leeds but you need to trust his buys and sometimes the football is not good but he will get results. <ok>

Warnock's plans seem to be to leave a legacy for the next manager. I now do not think we shall be going for these oldies.

It's the hope that does you in. Someone get ready with the anti-depressants for Ristac just in case (you know, that slight off-chance <whistle>) that none of this comes off, and we end up with a back line of:

    Thompson Lees Pearce Taylor

alongside a midfield and attack of

    Brown, Pugh, McCormack,

    Nunez,

    Becchio, Somma

Panic time for me will start Friday at 4.00pm if we haven't signed anyone else of substance. That will be a one week count down till Warnock leaves for holiday

The season has only just finished FFS <doh>
Most players will be on their holiday's now and I doubt very much if they will be thinking about anything other than how many birds they can get through this summer <doh>

Cut out the "for holiday" part and you might not be far off the truth.

If you followed Leeds you would know that Warnock has clearly stated he wants 3-4 new players in place before he goes on Holiday. Failure to do this would indicate with the other noises being made that he hasn't the backing he had hoped or thought he had.

Christ knows why he needs a holiday, he had two months off after QPR. Surely he should be prioritising and sorting our mess of a squad out.
Just goes to show it's not just players who are detached from reality, it's managers too.

In his defence, he'll need to make sure he's fully rested up for the no doubt stressful season ahead.

He'll also need a lot of relaxation time to ensure he doesn't have an aneurysm or a stroke or a heart attack or something, the vein in the side of his head is threatening to become its own entity with the way he gets worked up. Hey, maybe we can sign it! Has to be better than O'Dea.

Its his only window really. Most agents & players are unreachable by that time <ok>
