Gonna put my Waffle profits on Possible in the 6.50 Naas. She has run well in decent maidens and was beaten by the draw LTO when fifth on a arce that is working out ok. I had earmarked her for a good old punt but she has been taken out of the 6f event on the card to run in this.I'm not sure 5f suits her better but who am I to argue with a chip off the greatest block ever.Being a Pivotal she will have no trouble on the ground but is badly drawn which limits her options and has a 7lb claimer up,good lad thought he is. Despite these negatives,I think she will be much better than her current mark of 70 and at 5/1 e/w she should be a bet to nothing.
In the 2.50 Lingfield, Henry Candy looks to have a well handcapped one in AMBER HEIGHTS 5/1 was running on LTO over 6f and struggled for room when beaten a nk, the extra furlong should see her involved in the shake up
The Fugue won well but I'm staggered everyone on C4 lauding her as the Oaks winner. Twirl was easily beaten Chysanthemum who has since been easily brushed aside in a Listed contest. Nice filly but a sense of perspective needed. Anyone know what happened to the Rockfell winner,Wading?
Managed to catch The Fugues win, mightily impressive. AOB will have one or two stronger than Twirl but nontheless the ease of the victory puts Gosdens filly bang in the picture for the Oaks I'd say? I can see why the price is so tempting on WAS tonight RV but so many of AOBs need the run. I thought one of the best bets of the York meet was an AOB horse though, I have been waiting for Ernest Hemingway 9/2 to run again ever since he crushed a field on the bridle at Dundalk and its very interesting they send him straight to the Dante. He would without question be my Ante-Post for The Derby right now. You can say it was a poor maiden he ran in but sometimes you just know when you are dealing with a smart animal and everything about him screamed Derby that day.
O'Brien reports she is unlikely to be ready for the Epsom Oaks and will be aimed instead at the Irish equivalent. "When all the other fillies were there [fit and ready for the Oaks], you're kind of looking for an excuse to ease off some of them
In the big sprint race at York, i think HOOF IT will win but for some value, BANNOCK 33/1 EW steps up from listed class but may be able to get away from these and claim a place and i do feel that he has one big race in him this term, today may be his day
Anyone opposing Hoof It in the big sprint? Very smart last year wasnt he? Libranno I thought might be overpriced as last time was apparantly over 1m on heavy ground, both factors against him. He has always been Group class over 6f on good ground. If I was betting on the race I'd be worried by that Frenchie who has come over, they are always trying to spoil a party arent they?! LOL
In the comp we have... 7 on Hoof It... 3 on Mason... Tiddliwinks and Libranno make the rest up... Good Luck...
