I was hoping he'd drop a few of the neverhasbeens like Downing and not pick neverwillbes like Carroll, oh well, same old same old.
Don't get me wrong, Crouch/Carroll doesn't really make a difference, all big European teams will laugh at our choice of strikers. Crouch's stats are bullshit though, the biggest team he's scored against is France in a friendly, otherwise it's just been minnows like Andorra and Belarus. He's older now and somehow managed to become slower (defying the laws of Physics). Leaving Sturridge behind was ******ed, as was leaving Micah Richards, but there's probably more to it like squad unity, etc
Sturridge is a greedy ****, glad he's not going. But Micah Richards What the ****? Has anyone seen the Spanish provisional squad? No Barca player.
Did he not come back to Villa in Jan for a few months. Got a good few goals too in a truely awful Villa team...................I wouldn't be surprised if his 2 month cameo has him in Villa's top 3 scorers all season. Joke all you want Keane is still a fantastic goalscorer. I'll bet he outscores any Englishman at the Euros
england need a clean out, get rid of cole, gerrard, lampard, terry, johnson, parker etc.. bring in younger players johnson, walcott, chamberlain, cahill, jones, baines, carroll etc england need it. plus why the **** take rooney, the prat should not of been a thug and kicked the player.... just like barton did.... but nope the media love one of englands most overated, loud mouthed thug players
He was 4th highest Premier League goalscorer for Villa this season. He made 5 starts and 1 substitute appearance. How **** are Villa?!
When you talk utter crap, you deserve insults. Cole one of the best left backs in the world Parker is a machine who breaks up play brilliantly.
england need it, at the world cup everyone said it was time to get rid of the old and in with the new.. 2 years later no england manager has had the balls to do it. the faster england get knocked out of euro 2012 the better, then fans, players, media and hopefully hodgson will do it and change it up.
I agree partly. The only oldies I would have out is Lampard and Terry. Cole is still an awesome player and Baines is very good cover. We have no one close to Parkers standard, he does his role perfectly. Maybe Jones could take over him in the future but I see Jones as future Yaya Toure kind of player or a huge CB. Rooney is on form and we need him because he's by far our best player. I would like to see Chamberlain played up behind Rooney when he's back from suspension.
Well for me I wouldn't have taken any of the following - Glen Johnson, Lescott, Walcott, Downing, Wellbeck or Carroll. In their place: Richards, Ferdinand, Adam Johnson, Aaron Lennon, Crouch & Bent. I was going to say I wouldn't have taken Ruddy either, but when I thought about it, there are no other good english keepers out there at the moment. Paul Robinson would have been my only choice, and he's chucked it. Now looking at the squads, which front three would you rather have for your side in the 1st game? Downing, Walcott & Carroll. With the options of Defoe and Ashley Young? or Nasri, Ribery & Benzema. With the options of Remy, Ben Arfa & Malouda? Actually Mick, what's the odds on England finishing bottom of their group?
Downing is as bad as Malouda. Ben Arfa and Remy have proved ****-all in competitive games. Nasri and Ribery are both over-rated. Benzema is awesome. So would probably take the French lot because you get +1 player, but it's not Fifa 2012 we're talking about here
When all is said and done it matters not one jot. Ingurland are **** whoever plays. Boring anti-football.
