The squad looks more like a friendly squad to me. Let's get the fringe players in there and give them a chance, nothing to lose. Don't bother with the good players Sturridge, Johnson, Richards and Carrick, we already know they can play consistently well at the top level...

I personally dont rate carrick, he goes missing in games and is indecisive.. he has never grabbed a game by the scruff of the neck and rescued games or indeed won us a game ever ala keano and indeed gerrard..

as to whether he is better than barry.. I think barry is a carthorse but is still a better defensive mid than carrick.. he doesnt have the passing ability of carrick. both are ****e and can **** off.. Id take parker over both of them..
