What a pile of steaming ****e if ever there was one. Andy Carrol and Stewart Downing? John Ruddy They'll probably win it.

6 million people in Ireland, football is nowhere near the most popular sport. James McClean is better than Downing - FACT.
A few strange choices in there, but there always is when a new gaffer comes in, and the timing is laughable. Crouch Richards and Carrick should have been selected, stuart Downing shouldnt be anywhere near any squad, Adam Johnson is miles better than him. Maybe Lennon over Walcott. Pleased Oxide Chamberlin got picked, lets hope hes not just going for the ride like when Walcott went under Sven.
You really don't have to go through 6 million people to find someone in better form than Downing. The Faroe Isles are laughing at his selection, to be honest.
Robbie Keane is still a good striker and always gives everything in a green shirt. Highest amount of international goals for a player from these islands. More than baldy Bobby Charlton. Think he's 10th highest ever scorer in the Premier League. Digest those facts dicknose.
The thing with the Irish is they work as a team. They don't have a lot of good players but Trappatoni knows how to get the right blend. England could do worse than go for someone like him.
He hasn't done well in the Premier League for a while, and only scored a handful of goals in the US league where I could probably get the odd hat-trick. Scoring ****loads against Macedonia years ago does not make you a good striker, otherwise Crouch would be straight on the plane to Poland.
One thing that definitely won't happen is that the English football-supporting public won't underestimate the opposition or players from leagues outside England. Not this time. No sir-ee.
True but mostly against ****ty little teams like Jamaica. He is useless every time we play him in competitive games.
Every player scores more goals against worse teams. The majority of goals for players like Messi and Ronaldo have come against ****e opposition, at international level. Crouch rarely gets an opportunity to play against the better teams too, so he can't score against them.
