Pahars or Beattie, but that half season that Saganowski had for us was nothing short of incredible...
What a double signing that was! One always injured and the other a permanaent fixture in the reserves!
.... and then instead of running into the corner to eat up time he took a wild shot into Row Z. Everton hoofed the ball up the pitch and Marcus Bent scored. That always sticks in my mind as the 2 points we needed that year. Not that I bear a grudge!
James Beattie for scoring that goal against Man Utd right at the end (cant remember what year that was)
Looking back at the last 10 years we have had some pretty good strikers who have been great for a period of time. Pahars Beattie Omerod Crouch Phillips Camara Rasiak Saganowski John Mcgoldrick thought he was the s*** but in his first season he got 14 league goals isn't terrible
Marian Pahars by a country mile. Absolutely loved that little fella, even shed a tear when he did he lap of honour. Oh and to top it off, I loved his song.
You're missing Peter Madsen. 9 games, 2 goals, according to Wiki. I barely remember him myself. Have to say, although Beatts is my preferred choice, and there's plenty there who were good, ol' Saga was dynamite for a while. Then he couldn't score for love nor money.
