So Skrtel wants to see that our ambitions match his before he signs a new contract. http://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/live...efore-committing-to-new-deal-100252-30978225/ Martin your only as good as you are now thanks to LFC, If he is going to end up leaving sell him this summer and make a few bob on him or he'll see his present contract out and leave on a free. On the other hand he might just be 'doing a Rooney' and wants a massive payrise.
Only a truely brave soul would try that, lest be they eaten alive. Erm. I don't blame him really (how long's left on his current contract? More than 1 year afaik) for wanting to see what our ambitions are in the near future. Hopefully we'll have serious plans which he wants to a be a part of. I think he's happy here and would like to stay, but he just wants to win more trophies in his time and wants it to be with Liverpool.
Cant blame the lad for having ambition but we plucked him from obscurity and moulded him into..... please log in to view this image
Fair Enough, I'd do the same if I were in his position, The sooner the owners make their decision on Kenny the quicker we can get down to business and make some much needed signings
There is an article currently headlining on LFC.TV, where Martin Skrtel is talking about what we can do to improve next season. Is that the behaviour of someone who wants out? he will be here next season
Well as long as this isnt more tabloid rubbish He should keep his mouth shut. By all means talk privately with KK and get assurances for the future (or even state that you believe you're worth more! nothing wrong with that). Any time I see this made public by a player (this doesnt mean this is in this case) I think two things: The player doesnt want to stay or wants to blackmail the club for a payrise: Either way he can f*ck off if thats the case. He's not the messiah after all and looking at this year, as brilliant as he was over all; apparently he can only play on one side of the centre and with very specific players otherwise the world class tag drops quite a bit....
who says hes been offered one? maybe this is his agent saying "look offer him a better deal, he deserves one" Which he does as he had a fantastic season.
Skrtel: "I have never said I want to leave #LFC or handed in transfer request. I am happy here. I haven't thought about leaving the club."

I have absolutely no problem with him wanting to see what ambitions LFC have, that his sensible on his part. Annoying for LFC, but sensible for him. You could twist it around and see it as a kick up the arse to the club. Ie, start showing some ambition or your going to lose players.
Didn't Reina or Torres ask the same questions last season or the season before? Not really got far lol
