belated congratulations on another great season for the gunners. just so glad we could kickstart your season for you. floreat salopia, from those awkward shrews!
The access list is here http://kassiesa.net/uefafiles/2012-13-uefa-access-list.pdf and shows the CL holders and the top three all qualifying for the group stages. It looks like if Chelsea win, then Spurs take their place in the Europa league so get straight into the group stages of that. What is not clear is who takes Spurs' place in the CL. The non-champions sections still needs to have five qualifiers so I guess the 3rd placed team in Portugal get bumped up to the play offs and the runner up in Switzerland gets into Q3 rather than being in the Europa league. Braga and Lucerne will be Chelsea supporters for the night
Don't care - we'll leave it to the others to decide the qualification places - we need to concentrate on the group stages.
why do people listen to that radio station ? All I ever see are complaints about it. Can't say I have ever listened to it.
It is awful, but makes me laugh how stupid they are. They just say controversial **** to get people to call in. Yesterday they were saying the invincible team weren't that good and that anyone could go the season undefeated by playing for draws, which is what they alleged we did.
Wikipedia says otherwise, I'm hopeful http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2012-13_UEFA_Champions_League#Play-off_round
Looks very logical - both Spartak and Braga get into the PO round leaving six there and eight in the 3rd qualifying go down to four in the PO so ten in total which is right. No-one promoted from the EL which leaves that with the same number of entrants as Spurs replace Chelsea.
Tell you what - looking at the teams in the CL qualifiers I am very very gald we're not in the qualifying rounds!
You are not wrong. Considering the difference between our two sides would have been overturned by just one goal more or fewer in one of any number of different matches it is staggering how different the outcome is - even if Bayern prevail.
