    Post a link DR.

I'm sure this Kenny stuff will go on and on until a statement is made. I almost don't care, If he stays he's the manager and I'll back him if he goes then I'll wish him well. I hope he stays around the club though.

I just hope we get the right man in if we are going to change the manager.

Not being funny but according to who? Even if they did "back him" the media will spin it negatively.

Agreed. Silence is the most dignified way to go about this for both parties I believe. As summer wears on and Kenny makes signings, "backing" will be implied without the need to be said explicitly.

all speculation. the actual facts is kenny asked to go to the states to get the year review done earlier and he returned then to go on holiday. quite simple.

anything else is base speculation.... but just cos it is doesn't mean theres not a grain of truth in it.... but lets just wait and see.

Dietmar Hamann fears Liverpool face a Champions League wilderness for the next 10 years if they don’t get it right this summer.

Reds boss Kenny Dalglish has been in America, reporting to the club’s owners, after only managing eighth place - their lowest Premier League finish for nearly two decades.

Hamann, who played in the Reds side that lifted the 2005 Champions League title, said: “It's a worrying time for Liverpool - the most important summer for them.

Liverpool’s Carling Cup Final win back in February and progress to the FA Cup Final had given fans hope of a silver lining to the campaign.

But defeat to Chelsea at Wembley and finishing below rivals Everton in the league for the first time since 2005 have left Dalglish under pressure and owners John Henry and Tom Werner with big decisions to make.

Hamann added: “I expected him to be closer to the top four. Because the points tally, in the end, is less than last season [Liverpool's 52 points were six less than in 2010-2011].

“People will ask why he [went back] because he had nothing to win and a lot to lose. We’re seeing, with the season over, people questioning him now.

"Why did he do it? Obviously, he went in for the right reasons. He wanted to help the club and he wanted to move the club forward.

“If they don’t make the right decisions, we may not see Champions League football at Anfield for the next five or 10 years, which is a very likely scenario at the moment.

“The owners need to make a decision whether he [Dalglish] is the man to take the club forward. The improvement has to come from somewhere because, whatever people say, it has been a disappointing season.”

“But now it's a vital summer for the football club to make the right calls, because it's now three years running [that Liverpool have not finished in the Champions League places] and obviously the longer you go without any Champions League, the further you fall behind.

“The best players won’t come to your club and you probably can’t afford them anyway because there is so much money in the Champions League.

“For a team like Liverpool to be out of contention in March or April - finishing 15 or 16 points behind fourth - is just not good enough.

“If you miss out on the last day of the season by three or four points, well, that happens to a lot teams.

“But to be out of contention by March or April, with eight or nine games to go, and not having a chance of finishing fourth, that’s not acceptable."

Many of Anfield's new faces disappointed in their first season in the famous red shirt, but Hamann is unsure they will do much better next time.

“Are the players going to improve that much in the second season? Maybe," he said.

“Can you bring new players in? Not sure how much money you’ve got to spend.

I think we have to make progress towards getting back in the top 4 next season. If we challenged for all cups again (and hopefully won at least 1) and fought for a top 4 place it would mean progress.

Can we get back in there? I 'd say yes but I think we will win the league every year so am probably not the best judge.

I don't think we will get top 4 next season. Too much competition and we are playing a bit of catchup at the moment.

Didi was a great player and I love him to bits, but he's no more of an expert on the future than the rest of us.

Statements like " it'll take X number of years to achieve Y" are further examples of mindless journalism.
Who knows how long it will take for us to get back into the CL? It could be 3 years, it could be 30, we may never do it again (not a prediction, btw).
Has everyone forgotten how well we played for a considerable part of this season without getting results? The pieces of the jigsaw may or may not fall into place fairly soon, plucking a figure out of the air is futile.

I also think that he, like so many others, has misunderstood the club's role and attitude in the Suarez affair.

I agree great player but this is just a bunch of cliches! Lets not forget that the press try to find any ex players willing to talk and certainly ones who are willing to criticise or sensationalise. We deserved more this season no question; however I have to be honest and say the way we fell away so badly at the end is worrying.

Hate this kind of thing, if he's going to go or stay then the club need to post it and not let all this speculation continue.
