So you admit the title is not and never has been tainted, and that if anything is tainted it is Rangers FC?

I am going to assume that your silence and ensuing failure to cover the points I have raised is an admission on your part that you are wrong.

Let's imagine for a second that Rangers had 73 employees on illicit EBTs and Dual Contracts within the last 18 years or so, would you consider all the trophies won in that period to be Tainted?

Roles reversed and all that jazz.

simply question, Where did I say that this seasons title is "tainted"?
simply answer, NO WHERE! I know that reading might not be your strongest trait so i suggest you re read, or at least start reading spot the dog. I'm sure it will help you. pay close attention: Celtic didn't win the title it was handed to them. Is it tainted, no. Its just meaningless.

So who exactly tainted the title? Rangers. "I see where you are going with this point, but I'm going to let you into a secret, not quiet a masonic secret but a secret none the less. The title is not tainted, never has been and never will be (unless Aberdeen win it then all bets are off!!)

Why were Rangers stripped of 10 Points? A6.8 Where a Club takes, suffers or is subject to an Insolvency Event
that Club shall be deducted 10 points. Where the Insolvency
Event occurs during the Season, the points deduction shall
apply immediately. Where the Insolvency Event occurs during
the Close Season the points deduction shall apply in respect of
the immediately following Season, such that the Club starts that
immediately following Season on minus 10points (source:http://www.scotprem.com/content/mediaassets/doc/SPL Rules as at 19-Dec-11 (CURRENT).pdf)

Because they Broke "the rules" and they were punished under the current rules which means a 10 point deduction.
Actually we agree on this point, to a certain extent, the players and staff of the club paid their paye and NI contributions. One man, Mr Whyte, chose not to pass these to HMRC.

If a player trips another player in the penalty box and a penalty is awarded are you saying that it would be a "Tainted Penalty"?
If a player trips another player in the box and a penalty is awarded, then the rules of the game have been applied, however If a player goes down in the box, like stokes in the cup final against Kilmarnock, with arguably, i will repeat so you dont get confused arguably no contact, and a penalty is awarded then you could argue that this is and unjust award and for want of a better word "tainted"

Now since I have answered your ridiculous points, you can ASSume what ever you like. you eventually just make an ASS out of your self!

It may have no meaning to you, but it has a lot of meaning to me. Because Rangers were not competitive on the field this season does not make it have any less meaning - we beat Rangers by a clear 10 points in football terms, we have beaten Rangers by more than 10 points quite a few times in the past, all those other times had meanings.

We will probably beat Rangers, or the team in second by more than 10 points next season, that will not be meaningless - having a non-competitive Rangers team does not make Scottish football meaningless, apart from to Rangers fans of course.

Hollow Victory? Meaningless? Null and Void? Celtic didn't win the title it was handed to them?

Please don't bandy words or indulge in petty semantics, those are the same as (or possibly worse excuses than) "Tainted"

And by the way , Administration is an "Insolvency event". <doh>

Hollow as in when the Insolvency event happened ie ADMINISTRATION! the league as a contest was effectively over, celtic go from 4 points ahead to 14 ahead without kicking a ball. Would celtic have won the title if there was no deduction of points?

    Just so we are clear;

    semantics

°(linguistics) A branch of linguistics studying the meaning of words.
°The study of the relationship between words and their meanings.

    tainted

The bookies had Celtic priced at 1/7 to win the title before Rangers went into administration - so yes there was general market agreement that there was an 87% chance Celtic would have lifted the trophy before the deduction.

87% chance. But still not definitive, Celtic were the form team so you would have to argue that it would have swung their way.

Would celtic have won the title if there was no deduction of points?

Seeing as how Celtic had just gone on an unbeaten run of 26 games and overturned a 15 point defecit I think it's fair to say that they would have gone on and won the league anyway - because they were the form team. That admittedly is another "assumption" on my part, but I think it's only fair that I start indulging in utterly pointless "What if" scenarios seeing as how that seems to be the road you have long since started travelling.

You say that the league contest was "effectively" over, but to be 100% precise it was not actually over was it? (damned pesky semantics again). There were still a lot of games to be played. Rangers could have clawed back those points but failed miserably. Administration had nothing to do with Rangers dropping the points they did, it was the players, the team on the park who failed the task set them.

Rangers broke the RULES and were punished by a 10 point deduction, so they (and you) have absolutely no cause for complaint, (Rangers never appealed against the 10 point penalty did they?) and any pathetic attempt to argue otherwise is utterly pointless (but you are having a good go at it anyway).

Hollow Victory? Meaningless? Null and Void? Celtic didn't win the title it was handed to them?

I can assure you it was no "Hollow Victory", Celtic fans were happy/delighted to win, but people like you were so upset that they developed a pitiful defence mechanism whereby you would look for any excuse, no matter how ******ed an idea it was, to show that Celtic did not deserve any credit for winning the SPL.

It was not a "Meaningless" SPL title either, maybe it was meaningless to sour grapists like yourself, but beating Rangers by 20 clear points held plenty of meaning for Celtic fans. I loved it.

Null and Void? Preposterous but very amusing indeed, your desperate excuses are the icing on the cake and I must say i'm getting a fair bit of pleasure out of reading deluded chumps like yourself whinging and bleating about the unfairness of it all.

The title was certainly "handed to us", Neil Doncaster did the honours on Sunday when he handed the trophy to Scott Brown. So in that regard you are right on the money.

ps Are you still certain that Rangers did not suffer an "Insolvency event"? You seem reticent to answer for some reason despite the fact that that was the thrust of your argument yesterday?

we all know celtic bottle it when there's pressure on them.
as soon as rangers had a 10 point deduction then the pressure to win the league was removed from celtic.
this handed the league title to celtic.

it still didn't stop them cheating and diving and getting penalties for nothing, but it took the pressure off them and allowed them and their friends within the SFA to relax and enjoy the rest of the season.
