Here is the club statement about the meeting held today. Having collated all views and supportive documentation, TG will return to Malaysia early on Wednesday morning to outline all proposals, after which the club will be in a position to comment further on the future plans at Cardiff City FC. Speaking of the meeting and recent events, TG said, "I would like to reiterate the commitment, warmth and great affinity that remains for this club from Tan Sri Vincent Tan and myself. We have nothing but the best interests of the club and its supporters to heart and will look to conclude matters as soon as possible to the best possible outcome. I would also like to personally thank the many who have sent in messages of heartfelt support and appreciation, either directly or via the club." Please note that there will be no further comment on this matter from board members or management at this time. All at Cardiff City Football Club appreciate the desire and appetite from supporters to learn more, and as such further information will be released at the earliest opportunity. Still up in the air it seems but sounds positive.
Yes looks positive but I think I'll wait and see. At least my nerves are more settled than last week.
Hmmm, very neutral and designed not to upset anyone. I guess VT has the final say. Fingers crossed!!!!
The Malaysians realize they don't have a blank check in making changes now , as CCFC also realize they don't have a blank check in investment ... the banging of heads was what was needed to get the club & investors respecting each other . Tan needs to protect his already high investment while the club needs to protect itself in general . I expect a better part of the promised investment to be back on the table in days & a backtrack of the statement on " other investors " to quietly disappear . They've worked to hard to get total control of the club to let anyone else in at the bottom floor . This is just an opinion on a public board by a football fan , please , no insults !!
Wow... being a Welsh football club supporter is never boring. Looks like they are waiting til they are out of the country first til the full statement comes out, which is understandable after the furore last week. I can't see them walking away from their investment myself, so keep your fingers crossed lads. Hopefully, common sense may prevail. Good luck from a Jack Barsteward.
We are all football fans so can understand how you must be feeling. All WUMS aside, we can say at first hand ... it's the fans that suffer. To all the decent posters, I wish you well.
TG has gone up in my estimation actually. he never set out to destroy the clubs culture, i think for myself and he comes across as a gentleman who wants the best for the clubs financial future.
