The war of words between the club and the Leeds United Supporters trust heightened this week with Ken Bates spending a good proportion of his weekly Yorkshire Radio interview discussing the trust and their recent open letter and protest march. During his interview the chairman commented “The way they are behaving is the most peculiar because they make no impression on the club at all”, he followed this up by saying “Doesn’t make any impression on the management of the club does it? It doesn’t make an impression on the directors of the club”. Given the lack of impression that the trust is making on the club it is therefore surprising to find out that the club have now placed a block on the online ticket purchasing accounts of the trusts chairman and board. Trust chairman Gary Cooper contacted the club’s Chief Executive Shaun Harvey for an explanation, and was told in an email from Harvey that: “In simple terms we are exercising our right only to sell tickets to those who we wish to do so”.
