Sorry but bar longevity there are a number of players who have played in the PL who are better than Giggs. Only a fool would deny that.

It all depends on the criteria for the award :

Is it for who has done the most over the period of the Premiership then he would definetly deserve it.

However he is not the best player to have played at United let alone in the history the premiership.

I think he deserves it for maintaining such a high level for so long

What Giggs has achieved is outstanding and will probably never be replicated in the premiership. To maintain his performances at the top for 20 seasons is a ridiculous accomplishment and for this he deserves the award more than any other player. He has made an impact in every season and has been an integral part of the team for every trophy they have won in the last 20 years. True he isn't technically the best player to ever play in the premiership but his contribution to the team over the years is greater than any other player.

 

These awards aren't exactly well timed!

I think Bergkamp was better than Henry. What that man could do with a ball was pure genius. Also, I think Giggs deserves the award because of his long term contribution to United's success.
