the police pulled the plug which I am grateful for as it definitely avoid a fatal crush, I just wish they had admitted to it and explained why they did it. I'm a big guy and even I felt unsafe in picadilly gardens and I was near the back, **** knows what it was like down next to the screen.
im going out on a limb here but i think the whole thing was a bit ott - i was in athens last year and that was blown out of proprtion too im not making excuses - some of the folks were clearly bams - but then i dont mind a wee scrap....

25 seconds in and that wee bun starts running his mouth and some thing wearing a cowboy hat - looks like it's on a hen night - absolutely SMASHES him. Lovely stuff! I also particularly like the footage of that fat knuckledragger in shorts with the obligatory shaven head and XS t-shirt getting his legs eaten by an alsatian. I won't lie, Manchester '08 was an evening of 100% entertainment of watching you lot get your heads kicked in or managing to give yourselves an even worse rep by 'protecting each other' and 'defending friends' due to a broken ****ing TV. But hey, we have to hold a minute's applause instead of a minute's silence
It was a great few days, apart from the rioting. We stayed in Blackpool, 4 doors away from a Gers pub. The place was rocking all night. Woke up the next morning and the bands were playing at 7am right outside our door. Quick wash, change and we were back on it. Made it all the better that we had a cracking day of sunshine.
