It would appear MH had every intention of off-loading Joey Barton during this summers transfer window. Apparently, he now has the backing of the rest of the squad who are claimed to be fed up of all the disruption.

If this is true (source Daily Fail on line) then I for one will be glad to see the back of the odious little turd.

3 years left on his contract though and i seem to recall him being in line for a hefty bonus (c£1mill) if we stayed up so could be quite an expensive shove out the door for us.

    Happy days if true!

Be worth every penny to be rid of the twat!
Plus....does anyone believe his claim that another player told him to take a City player with him once he was sent off?
I have watched the incident a few times and I can't see any Rangers players talking to him before he goes nuts!!

Scotland? FA ban wouldn't apply there and wouldn't come into effect until if/when he comes back to England.

We'd have to come up with some severance package but that will cost and maybe eat into MH's budget. Unless there is something in his contract which allows us to terminate based on misconduct. I doubt it though.

Dream on. Barton will stay because no one would pay his wages. Things will cool down during the summer and after that barton will serve his massive ban. When he has served his ban he will find out how hard is to get in to starting line up. Anyway when he will score the winner against foolham in november everything will be forgiven. Simple as that. If you dont believe it just ask yourself did you believe in march that you would hail to cisse after what he did in sunderland?

I expect one or more PL club or PL aspirant in the NPC will want to sign him - West Ham, Reading, Southampton, Cardiff, Leeds, Birmingham, Wolves, Blackburm....... Time to start bigging him for the suitors! Runs more than anyone, box to box player, combatitive, can take free kicks if you really short etc etc

4 for the red + 4 more for Nasri, he may escape with this because he missed Company! Buth then perhaps they will round it up to 10 because of his previous and because he is QPR!

Only very shortsighted people will forgive that hideous behaviour (once again). This is not comparable to what Cisse did - he does not have the reputation of being a villain. Cisse did not knee someone from behind.

No ,he just try to break somebodys leg. I believe 90% per cent will forgive barton if he scores the winner against fulham (or some other team) in november.

You are right! Did anyone else see if Aguero got a red card at the end?. In some stats I saw here it listed him getting red in the 90th minute. I could see he may have got a yellow for taking his shirt off to celebrate his goal, but don't remember or see that he got a yellow earlier.

The intention was totally different and I cannot believe that 90% of the R´s will be that ignorant.

Not forgetting that brainless bile he spits over twitter. That helps no-one at the club. Hope he goes - for team spirit if nothing else. Bob's right. We're not that ignorant

Was it 'only' £250k Cur? Thought it was more tbh.

The Independant reckons it will cost somewhere in the region of £12.5 million to sack him due to the lucrative nature of his contract and the amount of time left to run on it. Small change to Mittal surely? And gotta be worth it given the damage he is doing to the clubs reputation.

As i have said many times before i dont care a bit what sh*t he wrotes in his twttertwatter. All im saying its so black and white here. If barton knocks aguero after he got red card he certainly will be punished for that. All i am saying is that here are different "rules" for different players. Where cisse gets away with his brainstorms but barton is before the firing squad for his stupid actios are beyond me. This thread would be more sensible in july when the things have cooled a bit.
