Are most of the people on this forum far too inexperienced in life?

I have the feeling after conversing with many of the contributers that there is quite a large element that are below the age of 25.
Nothing wrong with that of course, but it does beg the question in my mind about whether they are still at a stage in their lives where they feel the need to convince people of their strong moral opinion?.

It seems that there is a very small minority of people on here who are brave enough to tell the truth of their own mind - excluding the drug abusing types of course because they don't have a choice - this I find slightly saddening.

I would dearly love to be able to read of peoples most honest thoughts, (personally abusive messages aside), but it seems that there is a self-righteous thread running through many of the not606 members.

I think we need a campaign for 100% honesty from here on in...

    ...who's with me? <party>

I'm 26, do I escape the 'not enough life experience' category?

I'm sitting for the fourth night in a row with a bottle of red wine talking on an internet forum. I'm like a middle class functioning alcoholic.

    I'm actually jealous...:emoticon-0119-puke:

I'm not taking shots or looking to insult, it's just a feeling I have - I tend to think that as you get older, you start to care less about peoples opinions of you and that the majority of younger people, not all, prefer to put on an 'acceptable front'.

What kind of red wine? i like a spicy Spanish red myself...:emoticon-0110-tongu

Actually a Rioja <ok> the garage beside my house stuck the Barolo up by 4 quid and I refuse to buy the ****er now so I've went on to the cheaper stuff.

In terms of your original subject, I noticed that when I first moved to Guernsey in a new job and new country with completely new people that I found myself trying to advertise myself, big myself up and all that ****. I knew I was doing it at the time but couldn't help it, and it was weird because after living for 4 years in Malta I thought of myself as very self confident and not needing to try. It seems that when surrounded with new people I need to try assert the high regard I held myself on to them.

Now after 18 months I couldn't give a flying **** what anyone thinks of me again.

Nice! <ok> Just exactly the kind of honesty that I seek... I would rep you but you've got far too much as it is.

Do you mean to tell me that there is an entire race of paranoid people?

I'm not paranoid - who told you I was? (circa 1976)

I hate the fact that 25 is now seen as the cutting off point of young. I can remember when I first got a full time job people were impressed by my maturity and skills as youngster, now the ****s expect me to be experienced and to perform well.

I'm 18, pretty much throughout my time here/on 606 I've felt that I am the baby in a room full of joyful adults.

Occasionally there was some people my age, but they went by the names of "IScoredWithLloydDoyleyOnFIFA10" and such -_-.

I find it pretty easy to be honest, I just say what I think....if it's controversial then so be it....it's better then a forum full of people all sucking up to each other because they all agree.
