Did anyone catch Rob Butler on the local news tonight, talking about Lambert and Villa? Don't know about you but he certainly wouldn't be top of my list to discuss this.

He always irritates me on Canary Call, not that he deals with the idiots that call in, but he gets on his high horse a bit too much.

He's not very talented in his presenting skills or self expression. I don't dislike him but Mcveigh and Ashton should be doing all the Radio Norfolk football stuff. Mcveigh is very sharp and likeable, I really like listening to him.

I'm not a big fan of Butler and they way he tries to get over his point.Very poor presenter. Obvious he is a Norwich fan so entitled to his opinion but not the most professional at presenting/hosting a show. Quite like McVeigh doing it and would like him to host the Scrimmage (which has gone down the pan with that terrible question format). Bring back the away fan viewpoint!

(Sorry Rob as I know you will read this!!)

Absolutely, the question format is RUBBISH!!!! and yes bring back the away fan view. I never listen to it since they changed it, it was so much better.

Don't know why they needed to bring him in to be honest.

Great shout about McVeigh. I think it would be great if he became the permanent fixture alongside Chris Goreham and he could easily run things by himself with Canary Call without Rob Butler.

Hi Beef, he was basically saying that football managers come and go and although he wants and was saying the fans idolise and want Lambert to stay, if and when he goes he wants Chris Hughton with Malkay a close second.

    Very pro Hughton.

Not worried about all this speculation as I will be following the team whoever is in charge or plays. Lambert knows the score and we should all by now be aware of how he works. He may well go , I hope not but I would wish him well but the club and fans are always the most important. OTBC!

If he did go cannot see him at Villa, They did say on the news Dalglish had jetted off to the States for "talks". Liverpool would appeal more than Villa.

    (Sorry got carried away!!)

It was rather unnecessary to bring in anyone to discuss this, whether or not it was Rob Butler. Although it was probably a bit of a slow news day.

He looked very scruffy as well.Seemed as though they were short of a story and rushed him in. Susie Folwer Watt interviewing though although she has not got a clue!!

I agree he does try to do that but just not in the slickest way. Not sure if he has any journalist experience of whether they have just picked a fan in the crowd?

Beef you're not Rob Butler are you ? Would explain a lot!!

Yeaaah, its a very dull predictable edge, more like a tepid slope over sand. He just defends the club and players regardless, what's the point, or more importantly the fun in that.

Yes, I suppose it can be. Did you like Glenn Roeder?

I'm more inclined to enjoy disagreeing with those who just will not see anything bad, regardless.

<laugh> So often you just know when a caller is going to be awful. I often shout at the radio. If I was in the studio I would constantly keep my finger hovered over the button that cuts the caller off. Mind you I'm not as bad as a mate of mine who's a bit of a mysognist when it comes to football! <laugh>

I didn't like Roeder, but I didn't have fun slating him. If someone deserves to be slated I'll do it but my slating abilities have a hit a bit of a dry patch as we're in the most successful period in a generation.
