I thought I'd start a thread on the big money deals during the summer, they're obviously not as important as City's deals, but I thought they were worth watching all the same. So far, the biggest stories I've seen are... Chelsea to sign Falcao from Athletico Madrid for £15m + Torres and are also close to doing a deal for Hulk from Porto. Liverpool to sack Kenny Dalgleish and replace him with Jupp Heynckes. Also, not exactly a big deal, but Scholes has signed for another year and both he and Giggs will now retire next summer.
would you really get excited about signing Heskey ??? he is way past his best and wasn't that good at his best !!
West Ham are releasing £1m signing Ravel Morrison, despite him only having played 9 minutes for them, as they've realised he's a complete and utter ****.
Well if Leicester are after Heskey, maybe we can convince them that Aaron McLean is his perfect strike partner for a couple of million.
I saw that but didn't bother posting as it doesn't seem to have a genuine source (not even the mirror!) have you found one? Considering his wages rise from something like £10k to £60k if West Ham are promoted, they've got more than one incentive to get rid. (Edit) talksport and Sky sports reporters have tweeted that contrary to rumours, he isn't going to be released.
That would seem to be the case, I just saw his release being discussed on the West Ham and Man United boards and despite him having a terrible reputation, there were still plenty of articles on other clubs boards about trying to sign him.
