Firstly what a great day yesterday. Elvis outfit on, plenty of banter with away supporters, sun shining and a win against one of the big six. I must say that I was dissapointed with a few things though; 1. Where was the Elvis music over the PA system? I only caught part of the band on the pitch but from what I heard they were playing Beatles songs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 2. Half time. No Elvis theme just the same old childrens penalty comp (Where was Kev Johns Elvis outfit) 3. Player walkabout. Why did they stay so far away from the fans? 4. Brendan. You asked supporters to dress as Elvis (which some of us did). Would it have been too much to ask for you to enter into the spirit of YOUR suggestion and to put at least a wig on? Sorry to be negative on what was a great day (and season) but these little things matter.
Well you sound like the life and soul of the party mate! Your wrong. These thing's don't matter ultimately. You forked out to watch your side play brilliant football and defeat a massive club on the last game of the season. That's what you pay your money for. Some people
I'm a bit old fashioned and think that a football manager should have a bit of decorum about him. Sticking on an Elvis wig is great for the fans who don't care if they look ridiculous - in fact the more ridiculous the better - but not the manager. You raise valid points about the music and the lack of effort at half time but in terms of the season we've had it really is nit picking.
As a matter of fact Brendan did put on a wig! For about 3 seconds, But I agree that the manager should stay professional! Also a mate of mine saw Tate buy an elvis mask!....which never made an appearance.
im old school and it was the fans day to make a statement in a fun way, you cant have brendan or any of the staff taking part really as it would look disrespectful to liverpool and kenny. it was a bit of fun for the fans and thats how far it should go...and it did....I was hoping that brendan was not going to bring the premiership in disrepute by dressing up as elvis and im glad the club treated the game like every other game that it deserves...
Great day ... yeah perhaps an Elvis song at half time would have been funny but thats splitting hairs. Where were Guinness for the World record????
Kevin Johns did have the full Elvis costume on when he was announcing at the start of the game Don't know if he still had it on @ the 1/2 time penalty shoot out though as spent all 15mins queing for a pie
Kevin Johns had an Elvis costume on before the game - what time did you arrive? They also had Elvis impersonator on pitch before game - were you late arriving? And Brendan stuck a wig on in front of the east stand when they did their lap of honour. Happy now?
What matters is that we finished 12th in the Premiership and beat 5 times European Champions Liverpool on the final day of the season
Jesus, i have to get in early as my son nags. Did someone say no elvis songs. By the time the players came on i was ****ing sick of listen to Elvis songs. One cd must have been on repeat.
Liverpool are not one of the big 6. They used to be, but those days are long gone. They're now one of the better mid-table teams.
