Yes they did and to the tune of £51m but after the recent events they have to do something a bit special. As to what that will be........TWT.

You slated the Allams for wanting to bring Blackwell in as though it was a fact and not pure speculation, you also accused them of doing it on the cheap, out of interest, how many buyers were you aware of willing to stump up the £51 million required to stabalise the club? If you have expressed a serious point of view then you need to give your head a shake, have a good think about where we'd be without them then maybe you could come back and make a sensible point. If some of the things i've heard re AP over the last few days are true he totally deserved the bullet, yes the sacking of Barmby appears harsh but they have done far more good for Hull City than they have bad.

I was told yesterday, that things started to sour between the Allam's and AP when we signed Dele Adebola, something went wrong with the deal and we ended up being liable for a big agents fee that the Allam's hadn't agreed to and they got the right hump. Things then went downhill from then on.

I was told the straw that broke the camels back (sorry) centered around sponsorship deals, I hope it's not true as it would remove the respect I have for what Pearson has achieved with us.

The £51m and their wanting to do everything on the cheap are totally separate. It's more recently that they've got round to noticing they don't like the expenditures the club has been paying and they've tried to cut back on stuff all over the place since then. There are some really, really petty things they've been doing to 'save money' but it's just upsetting everyone.

And I'd imagine this is one of the things that made them go down this route...

He was a terrible signing and I can understand why the Allams were pissed off.

That may well fit in with what i was told a few weeks back in that Dele was offered to us @ £3k a week but we offered him £8k. How true that is i dont kniow. But Burnsie also confirmed in April that Adebola had cost the club approx. £750,000 in total for one season. Now that may well include the agents part of the deal.

The blame for this has to go to both Pearsons as Dele should never have been signed in the first place,, imo. Nick saw DA for what he was, sadly.

Perhaps my line of work makes me see things differently to most on here but I totally agree with them stripping out all unnecessary expenditure at all levels, I want my club to exist within its means, if that upsets people along the way then it's unfortunate but necessary, difficult decisions have to be made at every level of the club to undo the ridiculously excessive spending of the past few years.

By upsetting people I mean peopple who get to decide what to charge us in future, such as the other clubs whose scouts we are ripping off to get into the ground and as a result we're getting the same treatment wherever we go, so we get the worst deal from that. Also things like the OSC, the club are ****ing them about all the time and the cost-cutting is a big part of that. It isn't just important costs but really, really petty stupid things all over the place which hardly save us anything and by harming relationships probably cost us more in the long-term.

I don't know what your line of work is, but the Allams seem to be the only people working at City who are happy with the way they are doing things.

I can't really pass comment on the specifics you've mentioned above as I don't know if this is fact or fiction, what I do know is that the club had a lot of unpopular decisions that needed making and fortunately they were strong enough to make them.

Everything that makes a loss is being adjusted. I am not in the OSC, but do know that the situation has not been good for some time.

I'm aware of the sponsorship deal story, but I'm told it's something else that actually led to the sacking, as yet I've been unable to find out exactly what it is, but I'm told it was worthy of a sacking.

Whatever it was, I think his standing at the club warranted a more gracious exit than the one he received and I remain of the opinion that Nick's sacking was completely unwarranted and was nothing more than petulance.

Tweet from PJBuckingham (HDM) HCAFC have been in touch with Kevin Blackwell. That's not to say he's first choice or even on a shortlist but contact has been made.

So if it is true then City have contacted him when I thought they had been inundated with applications and were scouring Europe.
