I'd pay big money for that! Barton is an odious cretin and it shames me that I used to defend him.

That's because, like the majority of decent fans up and down the country, your a reasonable bloke. If he were a Sunderland player I'd want him removed form our club completely. The likes of Cattermole gets a lot of criticism for his sendings off and the silly bookings but 99% of the time, he gets them genuinely trying to win the ball or win the game.

There is a massive difference between the 2 and I can support one and condemn the other quite easily.

The thing with Cattermole is he is petulant rather than an out right thug. He can go in hard and wreckless with intent but not to injure. I have no doubt he wanted to go out and shake our lads up in the derby and quite rightly so ( it made the match all the more interesting). However I thoroughly dislike the lad too (probably means he is doing his job right <laugh>). Thing is, his "desire" for want of a better word can cause a serious injury. He is nothing like Barton but his reputation precedes him and rightly so. I just hope he does not injure someone accidentally. The entire British press will hound the lad.
