I can't think of ONE reason why PL would leave Norwich City at this time; on the other hand, I can think of NUMEROUS reasons why he wouldn't. Everything here is good, and getting better, for all involved with the club. Along with the rest of us, PL has a lot to gain by staying and I can't see what he would gain by going, no matter which Premier League club came in for him. Certainly I agree with you about Villa. West Brom would be preferable.

i'm not dismissing villa. it was always a potential move. however, we KNOW they have no funds - their owner has stated this publicly in recent weeks. its a bad move at this time and would require the kind of surgery that norwich required three years ago (albeit higher up the rung) but with NO funds. it would be like starting from scratch but with a club who he may be able to get to about 6th rather than 8th with us. to say it would be a bizarre move is an understatement but it isn't impossible, just unlikely, and really nothing to worry about, at least not to the extent we've seen on message boards all night and day today.

    Fingers crossed then hey.

I saw your posts about Liverpool too - personally I'm not worried about them..I think they'd go for a big European name after the whole Hodgson episode.

i thought that too but liverpool have been interested in martinez by all accounts - certainly a number of press reports circulated about it. i'd have said before that they'd be after someone more like jurgen klopp but if martinez is on the radar then lambert definitely will be.

tbf I can see a Benitez or a Di Matteo getting it. It fits the clubs face.

Bottom of SSNews just flashed Ranieri has declared his interest in the position. Let's hope they go for a 'big' foreign name.

Hahaha what exactly can McNally do if and when Lambert and co resign and then turn up at Villa Park a few hours later?

Complain?! Thanks to McNally Villa know they can poach your manager for a £75,000 fine (small change to their multibillionaire owner) and slap on the wrists.

Love it. What comes around, goes around budgerigars! <laugh><laugh><laugh><cheers>

I could kiss you, but I fear I'd catch the clap that has so blighted your county.

I do totally agree robbie, the number of times they just keep on pushing, pushing, pushing in the hope that they´ll get something worth having, is unbelievable, and I thought McNally parried him brilliantly, in my eyes, as equally as good a signing as PL himself. Long may he stay.

Has anyone any idea of what Mikey actually looks like? I kind of imagine he makes Ipswich crazy appear to be normal!
