Simon21 - Ridsdale and O'Leary were the guys who eventually made the press headlines for all the bad reasons, but are you saying that you lot weren't pushing them along when the going seemed to be OK? It was very easy (and probably correct) to villify them after the event, but the euphoria of it all was too much for both them and you - hence "you were all part of your demise". History now mate, and the best of luck for next season.
I think it was clear to see the sorts of wages players like Seth Johnson and Robbie Fowler were on was ridiculous, and I even remember asking my Dad why we had so many strikers. I think we could have done just as well without over stretching like we did and the core of that team would have won trophies had it stayed together. Just think of the gems from the academy we've had to watch go elsewhere because of the spending. Anyway, thanks mate , hope you get sorted out with all this Malaysian kerfuffle. (gutted to find out "kerfuffle" wasn't in Chrome's dictionary)
We're really not with the financial SECURITY we have unlike Cardiff. You need a base to build a house. We have a base and are constructing the house. You have no base, but are trying to build a house. There's only one outcome. Your house will collapse.
By that i mean you trying to get promoted using stacks of money which you don't even have. Cardiff are financially unstable.
better crowds? we get higher attendances and how do you define 'better owners'? If anything we have better owners because your playing the risky route. Like QPR, Leicester and what we did ourselves years ago.
we've been knocking on the door of promotion for like 4 years now out of the clubs in the past few years that havent gone up we have led the pack... we have a 20k+ fan base, good manager, good solid bunch of players who have in the main appreciated in value, deadwood will leave in the summer and malky will work his magic again.....now theres a solid base to build from son... good owners, they want to clear the debts of the club ffs, listen to fan requests about rebranding, increase revenues, they have kept ticket prices very low, i couldnt ask for more from them tbh..
Your right about our finances. However we have things Leeds had and lost - like our own ground. No idea about what Leeds financial position is after you run away from your debts. Our assets those are far greater than yours - on and off the pitch.
