Randy Lerner just flew in from the US, it looks like he's about to get the elbow... http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/fo...erner-after-narrowly-avoiding-relegation.html I can't believe they appointed him in the first place.
just posted this on another thread. news from pat murphy at 5live is that mcleish has said his farewells to the staff at villa's training ground, and not just for summer holidays. can't see another prem team taking him so it's either Scotland or the championship. any thoughts on whether he'd be a decent option?
Doubt that. Even Ehab is not that bad and clueless ffs. Is he ??? But rumours of Gus Poyet leaving Brighton this summer may well increase IF McLeish is indeed sacked. The managerial merri-go-round is gaining speed daily.
WBA need a manager but i doubt that the Baggies would want Mcleish. He plays dire football and has ruined Villa.
BBC Sport ‏ @BBCSport BBC Sport's Pat Murphy reports that Alex McLeish has "said his farewells" to Aston Villa's players at the club’s training ground #avfc
Can see why But would Lambert see WBA as a bigger club than Norwich ? My money is on Chris Hughton for WBA.
He only said linked. If Rafa Benitez and Kevin Blackwell can be linked, I don't see why McLeish can't.
He plays the worst football in the league, every game he sets out for a 0-0. Deserves the sack more than anyone else in the Prem.
I'm not convinced he could really hack it at even Championship level anymore. He's past it. Villa are a bit low on strikers now though. Bent & Agbonlahor, and the latter is often switched to the wing. Other than that I think they only have Delfouneso and Weimann, both of whom are Championship level at best, at least for now.
You've got to feel for the Villa fans. Not long ago they were pushing for a top four finish. Then they lost a very good midfield - Downing, Milner, Barry, Young - and the likes of John Carew aged. It's totally gone to ****.
