He didn't seem too worried which is a good thing. I am going to just forget about it until a movement is made, to be fair it is just speculation at the moment no point getting worked up about it. Admittedly I was earlier but just got to let it be I think. As long as we have McNasty
SSNews has Martinez as favourite again. Maybe he will move on this summer and I can see Hughton getting the WBA job.
Was that Matthew Gudgeon with the inane questions? Do media people ever listen to themselves? I can't believe they do, otherwise they would surely realise how mind-numbingly predictable and useless their questioning is, harping on on issues that the interviewee will never reveal his/her hand on. McVeigh and Butler were just as bad the other night interviewing PL. A good interviewer is like a good music accompanist; the audience are there to hear the soloist, not to have the accompanist drown the soloist out!
great interview. not sure what more he can say really! had to laugh though. the music in the background? republica - ready to go
as important as lambert is to the club, mcnally is THE most important man at the club. there are other football managers*, there's definitely only one mcnally and as long as he is at the helm the club will continue to grow *not that lambert is going anywhere at the moment!
for god sake, pull yourself together wasn't lambert favourite for the west ham job in the summer? 1-8 on as i recall
Not so much who the bookies are backing - more from his interview yesterday I think he is ready to move on. We will see and I certainly don't need pulling together lol.
I may need to do a not606 highlight of the week... Trust lambert on the pitch Sure as hell trust McNally off it
Remember when the bookies went mad about us signing Rhodes. They just respond to rumours and bets placed, which are also a response to rumour. Normally they have no more info than anyone else.
I just think he will be very interested in the position if I'm honest regardless of what the bookies are saying. A so called "sleeping giant" and impossible to do any worse than this season. If lernar is prepared to back again like he did with MON it's a opportunity I think he'd take.
sorry irdan but anyone who follows norwich should by now recognise how lambert works. leeds are a sleeping giant but he wouldn't go there would he! villa have been a poor club getting poorer since o'neill left. they have no money to spend and are slashing the wage bill. if anything, they are the next club to tumble through the divisions. or, lambert could stay at a progressive club where he is in total control and wait for the right opportunity to come along... you don't have to take the first job that comes along you know
sorry but where has lambert EVER stated his desire to leave? why do some fans have to find a negative or a conspiracy to anything? lambert said exactly what he always says - effectively nothing. its the people reading too much into his comments that are winding themselves up!
Is it really a sleeping giant? They have a larger stadium, not that they fill it. A poor squad who have been stripped for parts recently and probably little more money than we have. Blackburn have as good a history, Owners who are as rich and about as ambitious. Are they a sleeping giant? Villa were lucky not to follow Blackburn down. The past is no predictor of the future
Supers. I hope you right, but your can't dismiss peoples worries. What do you think Lambert will say when he is attracted to a job? I think the exact same thing as he normally says. Don't understand what's wrong with people worrying about losing an asset and one of our most important. I don't think its negative.
