I agree but that's the result so time to move on ... The fake Swords is only pissed off because the biggest game of the day saw the Swans beat Liverpool
You're missing the fact that at least 50% of the posters seem to be agreeing with me mate. Should they not bother supporting QPR either?
Don't be mental. There's no way any of them 'threw' the game once they knew the Stoke result (which I don't believe any of them would have done anyway, as per what Derry says. It would have been the result of this or any other season - no pro would chuck that away. The capitulation was just a result of defending desperately for 90 minutes, and 30 of those with ten men. In the end, they just couldn't hold out any longer - in terms of concentration or exhaustion. Other teams have collapsed late on to the relentless City onslaught - with 11 men on the pitch. I thought it was an incredible performance to get to 90 minutes still in the lead. And if we'd defended like that from the start this season, we'd probably be in Europe now.
I agree. Don't think we threw it! At worst some of the players, apparently not Derry, may have known we were safe before either both goals, or just the last one, and lost a little concentration, but no more.
Well I can't quite understand you being happy having lost a game we was winning in the 92nd minute! I'm chuffed to bits we've stayed up. Just angry at yesterday's capitulation.
You try running a cross dressing taxi firm in Ireland! its always raining and it buggers up your make up not to mention the amount of tights and stockings I go through ... every time I climb upon my horse and cart I snag ... don't know why I bother
Because we stayed up you raving idiot!!!!!!!!! Losing that game is NOTHING in comparison....NOTHING!!
Events and Emotions aside we should of won that game but we didn't. I would have preferred us to stay up on our own merits we didn't BUT we did stay up and so that's history. There was no fix but i am sure that some of the players knew they were safe for a split second and thats all it takes to slightly switch off ... a split second. If we had of won then i would also have to say we were rode our luck ... a football match is always unique
Yesterday's game reminded me of Chelsea - Barca. But, nobody else will ever get as lucky as the scum! This time we can only be extremely happy we didn't get unlucky in Stoke.
Its a funny one.....I was way more overwhelmed with us staying up....as that is by far the most important thing here.......but when it got to 92 minutes and we were winning 2-1 I was absolutely buzzing that we might pull off the BIGGEST upset in Premiership history....alas it wasnt to be and from that point of view it was dissapointing....I hate to see Rangers loose regardless of the situation. But im in no way upset as QPR are staying up. I can see us being Man City's bannana skin in the future....we seem to play well against them and scored more goals against them than any other Prem team this season....scoring 4.
Of course we did!! We finished with more points than 3 other teams! The league wasn't just won and lost yesterday!! It was played out over 38 games. We are just as indebted to WBA for getting their draw at Bolton and to all the other teams that beat Bolton as we are to Stoke!
That's part of it. What a pain in the arse that is. But the other part of it, Col, is my patronizing bro-in-law (United fan of course) texting me before the game saying we would be slaughtered. Then text saying "City's bench would beat you and there's only 7 of them". How sweet it would have been to have beaten City with 10 men and shut that smug cu*t up. But what did we do? Threw it all away and I'm still fu*king fuming. What's more, I can't get my head around your kind of attitude, I really can't.
