And there will be big changes at SAFC I would put money on it. MoN will certainly not settle for dross and players that turn it on when they feel. Would not be surprised if atleast 10 go and atleast 7 come in, that might be far to much of a change around for some but MoN will not damage his rep for this bunch. Its never boring for us fans during the summer and I cannot see that changing just yet
Well the Gyan money will be a start, and if West Ham get promoted, maybe they will buy McCartney.... Think quite a lot depends on what happens with Sess. with regards to the money situation.
I have no doubt you're right Poolie, but I long for the day when we have the core of a decent side and just add a little in the summer transfer window. All these changes we have (every year it seems) doesn't give any kind of stability. That said, I think Mon is the man and I have every confidence for the future.
Well lets work out how much he might get. Gyan = 6 million + 7 million if we sell him (get our money back basically, I would want more but meh) = 13 million Bent = 6-8 million installment due Jones = 2 Million Due (i think) So say 22 million just for those which we dont have on our books anymore anyway. If someone comes in with a 20 million bid for sess, then sorry but cya mate. and if the story about SAF wanting McClean for 15 million is true, then again cya mate (not saying we will get either, but if we do). Gardner = 6 million, again get our cash back. Vaughan = 2 million Richardson =2 million Elmo = mars bar (nah lets say 1 million) Bramble = 250,000 Thats about 66 million without putting his hand in his pocket at all, but Short will want some of that to pay off debt owned to him, so say he keeps 16 million, 50 million to spend, and in all honesty, I dont think losing Sess or Mclean is such a big deal, like it or not with this FFP clubs like ours, will be feeder clubs for a few years yet, we just have to find the next Sess/McClean to make a profit in next year.
Neither do I because I believe we will keep McClean and Sess, so thats -35 million from the 66 million I quoted right there. But if they do go, I cant see why not.
Craig Gordon Keiren Westwood Simon Mignolet Phil Bardsley Wayne Bridge Michael TurnerWes Brown Matthew Kilgallon John O'shea Titus Bramble Sotirios Kyrgiakos Lee Cattermole Sebastian Larsson Craig Gardner Kieran Richardson Jack Colback David Vaughan David Meyler James Mcclean Ahmed Elmohamady Stephane Sessegnon Fraizer Campbell Connor Wickham Ji Dong-Won Nicklas Bendtner With loan signings that's 11 out before we look at those strikers
and thats without the likes of Angeleri, McCartney and Gyan not forgetting we have already got rid of Riveros
