Now that the season is over we can look back with relative calm at the Swans matches played and ask ourselves which team surprised us and which team dissapointed us. For me Man Utd dissapointed me in that I thought with all their wealth of talent they would come to the Liberty with much more of an attacking attitude to the game. As it was they did what a lot of lesser teams did and put 10 men behind the ball and contented themselves with hiting us on the break.

Not really relating to our games against them but....
Surprise: Wigan - how come Martinez can't make them play like that from the start of the season? It's almost like they need the stress of relegation to make them play better.
Disappointment: Villa - just pants and McLeish (if he remains) needs to rebuild big style.

Overall surprises from the season: Newcastle and Wigan (only for their spectacular finish). Fulham also had a good season.

Overall disappointments: Aston Villa & Liverpool.

From our home games: Everton did a good job on us, I thought. Poorest performance from an away team: Blackburn. Showed absolutely nothing when they were desperate to climb out of the relegation spots.

No surprise for me, I knew we could do it !

As for the others, well Liverpool were very disappointing for me, and Everton were the biggest surprise both times.

Biggest surprise in the championship was Cardiff Clitty blowing the play offs again and again and again <laugh><laugh><laugh>

I think the best side i saw at the liberty this year was Everton. Worst side blackburn by a mile.

    Surprises:
    Newcastle. Cisse was the difference.
Everton: Thought we'd do them at our place. Moyes is class.

Disappointment: How poor Liverpool and Man U are when you consider the dosh they've spent.

biggest surprise of the season has to be Swansea and Norwich as we were both favorites for the drop.
the biggest disappointment has to be Blackburn and wolves
the best come back has to be wigan who have been rubbish all season and certain for the drop 6 games ago.

Surprise for me was wigan with their winning run (who knows where they'd have finished with more consistency) a couple of disappointments were Liverpool & Man utd at ours (although more than happy with both results)

For me one of the biggest surprises was Wigan coming down the home stretch, Usain Bolt would have been proud of that.
Disappointment conceding an injury time equaliser against Chelsea.
