Just wanted to say well done for staying up. Must confess I thought you were doomed with 8 games to go when I saw your run in but to turn it around, and against the opponents you faced, took serious battling qualities, organisation, desire and commitment. I take my hat off to you and look forward to playing you again next season. It rarely happens that all three promoted teams stay up but we've all managed it! But please, for the love of football, get rid of that man who is supposedly your captain. He is tarnishing your achievement and you're a far, far, far better club than he is a man, thats for sure
Thanks mate.....think we all agree that Barton is a helmet! I dont believe all 3 clubs have stayed up since 2001!
no, its unusual for all three to stay up! its a great achievement did you go to the etihad yesterday? can only imagine what it must have felt like to be there! i bet it was one massive party at the end though!!
Thanks Super. I'm glad to see all 3 promoted clubs stay up for a change, I think it's healthy for football in general.
It is an unbelievable achievement for many reasons. Some we brought on ourselves and others we did not. We changed our owners (necessary), management (!!!!), effectively changed our team three times, had incredibly bad refs decisions and of course multiple red cards, some of which were never red. We also lost our best player for the season. We had underperforming superstas and overperforming Champ players. We beat the big boys and got hammered by the likes of Bolton and Fulham. What a season. Life is never dull as a QPR fan, thats for sure.
Cheers SGHWSPIB, Good words mate. A great effort by all three promoted sides. See you for some more of the same next season.
in many ways your club summed up this season - crazy! i think this will go down as the greatest season the premier league has ever seen - glad to be a part of it!!
And we have to say a huge WELL DONE to NCFC for taking the Premiership by the scruff of the neck and playing some great football. Looking forward to playing you again next season.
No unfortunetley not.....watched all the dram unfold at my Dads.....with 2 screens going....1 with the Bolton game and 1 with ours.....crazy afternoon!
well i hope your heart rate has recovered this morning! i was at our match with villa and everyone was watching the game on the phones on sky go or listening to it on the radio - it was incredible when we found out man city had won the title at the death! i'll be honest with you, i was one who wanted qpr to go down, partly cos i like bolton but mainly cos of joey barton i'm afraid, but you can't take anything away from how you've stayed up under unbelievably difficult circumstances. and some of your home wins... wow! you can't write scripts as good as that final day of the season!!
Cheers mate Good words. Congrats on a fab season, we have all proved the doubters wrong. Had you down as my home banker on yesterdays betting, well done. And now I pray Hodgson picks Holt for the Euros, what a season he's had! No one would deserves their place in the England squad more than him.
villa were absolutely shocking! worst team i've seen all season. i hope holt gets called up. he gets a lot of stick but my god is he a good player - so underrated. it would be a huge pick-me-up if he got picked for all the players in the lower leagues who have been told they're washed-up or been told they're not good enough. would show that with the right commitment you can still make something happen for yourself.
Holt has showed that it IS possible. He's been a pleasure to watch this year (apart from against us ). They way he manhandled the Arsenal defence last weekend was breathtaking, a brilliant watch.
