Ok Chaps, Before everyone reads this and thinks "theres another one who hasnt ever been to a match and just watches on the TV" I do go to the matches, home and away, and I can quite honestly say, I was horrified with what I watched at Eastlands today. All the way through the team, there are mistakes. Being pressured into silly, schoolboy mistakes. In defence, we have 4 lads who looked all over the place this afternoon. Phil Bardsley, who in actual fact has been one of the mainstays this season was shocking, hoofing the ball into the sky like a scared little boy. The biggest letdown was our club captain, Mr Lee Cattermole. Everything about his performance was awful. Passing = Crap. Tackling = Crap. Vision = Crap. I could go through the whole team today, they just werent at the races. The icing on the cake was when I saw Mignolet and Ferdinand having a joke at 3-0. This is our club, the club we pay decent money to watch week in week out. The club that after a shocking defeat where there was no evidence of effort, I have to walk in the rain to catch the bus back to the car. I cant jump into my brand new Range Rover like Messes Muntari, Cattermole and Ferdinand. We need to see a real improvement, and quick. I agree with earlier posts, get Muntari out of that midfield. At leat when Colback came on he looked hungry. I appreciate that this is a bit of a rant, but please know that its not a kneejerk reaction. Thoughts please.......
Clattermole is utter ****e. I watched the game today and he was woeful. He is supposed to be a leader and be spurring his team mates on to do better but none of this was to be seen. He was at fault for the fifth goal with a suicidal backpass and did **** all for the rest of the game. I have never rated him , don't know why there was a time when you did. Only specialized in dangerous tackles.
Marko you tried to do the 'fight them on the beaches' lark with monkeys heed. Never worked. Why do you think this will work in an even more modern version of football. This is not Leeds in the 60's
LOL. Cattermole is terrible. Guthries two times better than him and even he'd have a right fight for a place in our midfield.
cattermole is our best midfielder, when he wasnt playing everyone said we were missing him and its only his second game back so wont even be fit, What you said he was poor at, are normally his stregnths :/
And previously? Cattermole returning from injury still grafting harder than anyone else on the pitch. His mistake for the cross field pass that led to a goal yep. PLease watch the replay where he is looking for someone to lay the ball off too and not one Sunderland player moves to give him an option!!!! And Henderson has still been **** since your previous post.
If hes only just back from injury give him a few more games to get to grips. Your not going down so why panic. Only player I see that is worth worrying about is Henderson probably believing all the hype from about Manures 20m bid thinking hes made it
Mate it hurts like **** to call any Sunderland player, but if they aren't doing it on the pitch they need benching! Cattermole was still ****ing trying unlike some of the others. Even against your lot Hendo wasn't up for it. FFS if you can't get a Sunderland born lad up for a game against the unwashed when can you?
cattermole to leave now? ok he had a **** game, no worse than the other 10 headless chickens, before the match he was seen as a leader someone who has passion etc. that hasn't changed, a crap game but we shouldn't jump on him, where was our supposed world class strikers? where were the great sess and sully? if there are players to leave, i hope catts is further down the line than some of the so called bigger names, who have a different problem to the english one. they can do it for country but not club, whereas the english players can do it for club but when it comes to country??????????????
