I never thought losing the title on Goal Difference to Citeh would go down as one Sir Alex Ferguson's best achievements, but it should. To get that close, with this United Squad, is a phenomenal effort.

Quite where he goes from here though depends entirely upon the Glazers.

    Like it or not...

This Citeh Squad aren't the next Chelsea,

    They're the next Barcelona.

Come back and remind us when they've done a domestic clean sweep, won the EC, and have the best player in the world playing for them.

Winning EC's is easy my friend :) Remind us again of how easy Man City have found it :)

    Ok Lawman, ignore me.

Just like you are ignoring the Squad they already have, the resources to build upon it, and the fact that they are now in the market for any Player in World Fotball.

What's that? Messi! Well perhaps not yet, but everyone else is now up for grabs.

It would be great if you were right.

Sadly, the world doesn't work that way.

    ££££'s make it go around.

And this lot dig it up out of the ground.

He deserves "great credit" for assembling a squad worth easily over a hundred million, more expensive than Man City's XI today, and failing to win anything?

Yeah right. He's always been overrated.

Bring on FFP. Football clubs will have to have balanced finances. How balanced are City's?

The fact that time after time, United have dispensed with these temporary heros?

Just because you have money doesn't mean you can win the biggest prizes.

Toon and Leeds both spend fortunes for nothing.
Chelski spent big and still haven't won an EC (yet, though good luck to 'em next week I say :))
City? Lots of money spent, one FA Cup and one title.
Shows promise, but come back when they've won the biggest prize and shown the consistency we have.

I'll laugh along with you, but first, just let me know what it is they will be short of.

Bloody hell <doh> How about a CB alongside Kompany. How about 2 new FB's. How about a Midfield apart from Toure and Silva who can pass and destroy teams. How about a CF like Villa. Finally about about a player like Messi. Come back when they have these players.

So, apart from the fact they have two centre forwards 'like Villa' already, and Richards/Zabaletta being the best pair of right backs at any Club in the World, they need to buy a Centre Hakf, a Defensive Left Back, and Ronaldo.

What on earth makes you think they can't fix that?

    Answers on a postcard.

<laugh>Please give me another laugh. What CF's like Villa do City already have. Yes Maradona's Son in law is very good but who is the other on the par with Villa? Don't say that ballbag Tevez. Also Richards / Zabaletta the best right backs in the World!!! Do me a favour! Also you strangely left out the midfield lad. Milner, De Jong, and Milner some some of the most overrated players in the league. TBH they need at least 2 CB's as well as a LB plus RB and a hell of a reserve keeper in case hart gets injured plus get rid of the dead wood in midfield.

Need about 8 players at least lad.

Tevez might well be a knob, but as Strikers go, he is as good as it gets.

Feel free to name the Club with two better right backs...
