Seb supports the stewards a few days ago and he was the first guy to get a penalty on race day lol! So much for gratitude eh seb!
ETERNALMSC SUMMARY Well done to Maldonado, what a fantastic drive and show of unwithering determination from the start. Raikkonen and Alonso win my applause also, good solid challenge with Pastor. Hamilton did what I thought he would, some fantastic overtakes straight off the line up until the chequered flag. Grosjean did well today, unlucky not to be on the podium, maybe you will get the chance from Lotus to challenge Raikkonen one race. And Perez, well done for controlling your car when it got a puncture at the start, some fantastic steering... Senna + Schumacher incident: Well, for a start I will agree with 90% of people on this forum on this one, it was Schumacher's fault. A straight t-bone into the back of the wiggling Williams. Impatience did it for him. Senna was having a naughty race also, Grosjean contact and harsh defending against Rosberg also, they had to be commited to overtake. What I have to say is Schumacher is not driving well this season, infact we all know this is his worst season in his career since 1991. The pressure and impact of the other lacklustre 10th place finishes and DNF's, may be having a negative effect on the man. Also his teammate picked up the first and only win for Mercedes v2. So what else can I say, he is driving worse than Massa? Yes he is. The only positive is his first 3 Quali results and his overtakes earlier this year. Spa may be the one and only chance at a decent result for him. Otherwise it is over. PS. Can the likes of Cosicave and others please keep a lid on the Schumacher insults ("Schumucker"), I did not do it myself over Hamilton last year. Drivers have bad periods, have respect.
In a word no. Any driver who is doing badly gets strung up on here. Schuey should be no exception. The fact he is doing it on a regular basis is not our concern. Whist I empathise with the position you are in of supproting a driver who is stuggling and getting critiscm for it, you have to take the rough with the smooth. When he was winnign it was probably all smiles, now he is losing you need to take it on the chin and accept what comes. Today was just another error he has made in a long list of them over the last 2 and a bit seasons which yet again shows he should put his F1 helmet in his locker and leave it there for good.
Your concern should be that it gets out of hand, especially when Schumacher has a mistake on the track, I have never seen the amount of negativity towards one man on a forum when he makes a error on track, it is like a funday for many users. (BBC commentators are on a par). It's actually constant sarcasm and vile behaivour that annoys me, it's not just Schumacher, it is the negativity towards Massa aswell. It's sad more than anything. And I leave on that note for the night. EDIT: Why did Senna move change tragectory twice anyway?
Did you see the glee on here yesterday when Hamilton/McLaren got put to the back? Or when he makes a mistake? Schumacher gets off lightly compared to the mob that pitches up here when the above happens! Mistakes by Alonso/Vettel etc are also met with howls of hysteria by some sections. Most can brush it off as a bit of tit-for-tat as sooner or later everyone will get their chance to have a dig about the others driver. A degree from the University of Life would do you good son.
I didn't rate Button until 2009 when he proved me wrong. Yesterday I was saying Hamilton needed to watch out at the start for "Crashta Maldonado"
I've called him a waste of a seat, and then he wins the Spanish GP. It's Sergio Perez all over again, i called him crap and he finished 2nd in KL. When will i learn?
"And in incredible scenes here in Monaco, following that massive crash, and the incident with the dog, and the fire, and even more pitstop issues for Lewis Hamilton, as Pedro de la Rosa approached the line to take a sensational win for HRT, his car has ground to a halt and the second-placed driver, Lewis Hamilton, still has two more laps to go!"
On a rating out of 10 with the mob going for Lewis it's the lowest I've seen in a while on here, about a 3/10? I think more people here were having pops at McLaren rather than Lewis since they claimed it to be a mistake yet a majority hear considered that a load of crap and they tried to pull a fast one. I admit I laughed and I wont hide the fact that it helped Seb increase his lead in the end. But did he deserved the back of the grid penalty? Nope! he should of been 6th at the start not 24th in my opinion. I don't want if's and but's at the end of this year. I want Seb to beat Lewis over the whole season and I dont want the FIA messing around with that so it becomes an excuse. Sometimes I think it's no longer a matter of Seb fans Vs Lewis fans Vs Alonso fans Vs Kimi fans Vs Schumacher fans vs Button fans..........more like: F1 fans Vs the damn FIA! and ruining our fun! It was bad a few years back, but I think F1 in general has put things back into perspective and knocked eveybody down a peg including the Seb and Lewis fans.
And his teammate who his 5 laps down has rammed into the back of him, and its given hin the extra momentum needed to cross the finish line, some may suspect team orders were involved. And the incident is under investigation.
That's it. We all have a chuckle somtimes at others misfortunes, a differing of opinion, bit of sarcasm somtimes thrown into the mix and we will post it up, but no one takes mortal offence to it. You just take it on the chin (as Schumacher should and has plenty of chin available for it)
There's not really any need for the personal insults though, criticise his driving and behaviour by all means but name calling and insulting is unproductive and doesn't add anything to a debate. I think the lad's been pretty levelheaded over the situation to be fair. Admitted Schumacher was at fault and that he hasn't been driving well, it was only the insults he had a problem with which if fair enough really, nobody wants to hear their driver branded a twat.
Got to admit Seb was really pushing the limit on Lewis towards the end. He was fighting to keep the car straight half the time with the lack of rear grip and he was almost all 4's off on the astro turf on the last bend just so he could make the DRS overtake stick. Ok tyres and DRS played a small part but **** me Seb gave his best then.
