We won our last 5 Home games Swords...U know who against....so stop ****ing whinging...and get youself to the Bush a bit more often...
I am too disappointed at the result but Credit has to go to MH as our defence held firm in the lions den When we had the slightest of chances we took them Man City determined finish was hard to stop and it was sad to see us fold We held the vampires with ten men and Mackie header superb Cheer up you silly sod slate is clean we go again
I feel the same swords. I'll enjoy the ' Weve stayed up ' a bit later, but I feel pretty disappointed at the mo.
I know what you mean Swordsy. It would have been great to have been the villains and really stick two fingers up to the 'experts' who had written us off. But that's far outweighed by firstly the sheer relief and the knowledge that we're QPR and it wouldn't be possible to not finish the season with some farce.
Last season I posted a thread disappointed at tamely rolling over on the last day against Leeds even though we had achieved our objective. To be fair to the boys today, we gave absolutely everything we had so I can't fault their efforts. In that sense it doesn't feel as bad.
This!! FFS Swords! I feel SLIGHTLY disappointed that we didn't hold out, it would have been a magnificent victory. BUT, that cheating ****er Young hasn't won the league and qpr have STAYED UP!! Get a grip man!!
In fact, the more I think about it, to post a thread entitled "Gutted" after we have pulled off an incredible, against the odds escape to stay up is simply pathetic!!
You're getting angrier by the minute. You were probably one of the one's who attacked me last season after we threw the game v Leeds (I know North was). But there's one thing you can't argue with: there's a number of respected posters above who've agreed to feeling exactly the same.
Couldn't agree with this more. Nothing can take away that overwhelming outpouring of emotion when the whistle went at Stoke. I'm a little bit disappointed that we couldn't hold on to draw and stick it up the "experts" who have been writing us off all week. However, the fact it meant that Young hasn't got a winners medal sweetens that slight bitter taste no end....
Is this the same "Swords" that came on here saying how he felt "proud" of Chelsea after the Barcelona game? At the end of the day mate, we've put in a very brave performance today and we're staying in the Premier League (unless the FA dock us 2 points for the Barton incident) forget the result, look at the big picture. If, at the start of the season, you'd offered me 17th place, beating Chelsea, Stoke, Arsenal, Tottenham, Liverpool and Everton along the way, I'd have bitten your hand off.
"The situation changed again in the second half when two QPR goals, either side of Walters' penalty plunged Bolton back into the bottom three. With their relegation seemingly sealed for good, Bolton lost heart and once a Tim Ream header from a corner was saved by Sorensen they accepted their fate, unprepared for what was to come in the last few minutes at the Etihad." Yes, today was a bitter pill to swallow losing at the death, but our performance up to that point no doubt took the wind out of Bolton psychologically.
Swords, I also agree with you. Like you, I can't help how I feel. A win, after such heroics and against all the odds, would have gone down in history. Our team (or 10 of them) deserved better. I didn't like having to rely on Stoke drawing with Bolton. Sure, I feel relieved to have stayed up and that feeling will get more positive as the hours and days go by. Plus, I'm still very angry at that [expletive deleted] Barton.
I'll take slagging's all day long and genuine arguments but what I won't take is lies. When did I ever say I was proud of Chelsea? That's just a bare faced lie and, in a QPR court, would be libellous. I ask you to withdraw that remark immediately.
If I'm wrong, I'll apologise, however, I'm pretty sure you (or someone with a very similar name and I know there's a few of you) said words to those effect?
How does he make an excellent point? I take umbrage to that Stan. I'm surprised with you. The very fact that there's plenty of well respected posters agreeing with me means you're presumably levelling the same accusation (that they would love to see QPR lose bad) against them? If so, its a very serious claim you're making there.
