Best Driver: Maldonado, amazing drive. Really happy for him and Williams. Worst Driver: Schumacher, what a twat . Best Rookie: Vergne. Best Team: Williams. Worst Team: Red Bull, what was going on with them? Best Overtake: Hamilton on the Toro Rossos. Funniest-moment: Most Surprising Result: Maldonado winning! Least Surprising Result: Massa and Schumacher being crap. Special Mention to: Alonso and Raikkonen. Race Rating: 9/10 Best Commentator overall: DC.
A. You're judging that on where they have been so far this season (and last season). No driver in history: not Alonso, not Schumacher, not even Ayrton Senna, can outdrive a car to the extent that you seem to be suggesting Maldonado did today. You therefore have to assume that he had a car which was up there on merit. Don't get me wrong, Maldonado deserves credit for setup (which played a big part this weekend, just look at Button vs Hamilton), but at the end of the day he drove a car which was right up there with the very best this weekend. B. Can't argue with that. C. Not disagreeing, but I'm not sure how relevant that is. It was Kamui who got a car that never looked as convincing as the Mercedes, Red Bull or McLaren up to where it was. What on earth is happening at the Williams garage?!?
Best Driver: Maldonado/Alonso/Raikkonen/Hamilton Worst Driver: Schumacher/Senna/Massa Best Rookie(Grosjean,Pic,Ricciardo,Vergne): Grosjean Best Team: Lotus Worst Team: McLaren Best Overtake: can't decide, they were all good. :/ Funniest-moment: Probably Eddie Jordan and Sir Frank Williams Most Surprising Result: Raikkonen finishing so close to Alonso Least Surprising Result: The Button-Bashers having a field day (I'm staying here from now on, JA606 can fork off and die!) Special Mention to: The Williams Team (Happy Birthday, Sir Frank, and congratulations on a fantastic win) Race Rating: 8/10 Best Commentator overall: Ben Edwards
Because you evidently have no interest in Formula One (and an unhealthy interest in children if that comment is anything to go by). You are also almost certainly a returning banned user.
Discussion for another thread, but he didn't move from side-to-side, if anything he stayed pretty much straight down the middle, Schumacher called it wrong.
I'd argue that if I'm judging the Sauber on earlier in the season I must judge the Williams on the same merits; it's looked quick (Maldo 6th at Australia, Senna's finishes at China and Malaysia) but not even close to the podium. Kobayashi qualified 4th in Bahrain too. I suppose what it really shows though is that today wasn't all about one driver, there were many stories going on underneath Maldonado's win.
Today's race was the hardest to pick out a driver of the day, I could've given it to any of 6, but considering the flak he's had for the last year or so I think Maldo deserved it, he drove a very mature race maintaining a decent gap and keeping his tyres in good shape, the sort of controlled race performance that the top boys give. P.S. I can smugly say I've always said he was fast.
Best Driver: Maldonado Worst Driver: Schumacher + Senna + Webber + Di-Resta Best Rookie: Grosjean Best Team: Lotus Worst Team: Mercedes + Mclaren (bad day for Norbert) Best Overtake: Hamilton on Senna Funniest Moment: Coulthard/Jordan response on Schumacher-Senna incident Most Surprising: Maldonado Least Surprising: Schumacher DNF Special Mention To: Raikkonen and Alonso Race Rating: 5/10 Best Commentator: Anderson

Best Rookie: Grosjean, another solid drive Best Team:Renault Lotus, the only big team that delivered Worst Team:Mclaren, not preforming at all Best Overtake:All of Vettel's were sublime Funniest-moment: Most Surprising Result:Maldonado win Least Surprising Result:Mclaren pit fault Special Mention to:Sir Frank, dont worry about the garage insurance will cover it Race Rating: 8.5/10 Best Commentator overall: Edwards, really getting to like the guy
Best Driver: Maldonado - there were some great drives from the likes of Alonso and Vettel but I'm obligated to give this to Maldonado because I've written him off too readily too often in the past. Worst Driver: Schumacher Best Rookie(Grosjean,Pic,Ricciardo,Vergne): Grosjean although it's easier him to shine in a Lotus. Best Team: Williams, for all sorts of reasons. Worst Team: McLaren, I suppose, but mistakes happen. Best Overtake: Kobayashi generally - I'm not sure if just brushing competitors' wheels is the result of being out by a couple of centimetres on an exquisite judgement or complete banzai luck but it's very effective. Funniest-moment: Vettel's Alonso impression, which I really hoped he'd repeat in the race. Most Surprising Result: Maldonado's victory, silly me. Least Surprising Result: Massa finishing just ahead of the noobs. Special Mention to: Frank Williams - what a great and **** day. Race Rating: 8/10 Best Commentator overall: Ben Edwards - either I'm getting used to him or he's relaxing and, consequently, improving.
Best Driver: Maldonaldo Worst Driver: Massa/Button Best Rookie(Grosjean,Pic,Ricciardo,Vergne): Grosjean Best Team: Lotus Worst Team: HRT Best Overtake: LH on the Vergne and Ricciardo within 2 corners. Funniest-moment: Schumacher blaming Senna Most Surprising Result: Has to be Maldonaldo Least Surprising Result: Schumacher with a DNF Special Mention to: Lewis Hamilton Race Rating: 5/10 Best Commentator overall: Don't care. Forza, why are you so biased?
The amount of commercials shown on Channel 10 is getting ridiculous. About 6 commercial breaks, each causing me to miss out on about 3 laps. I'm complaining about this because everyone keeps noting Hamilton's pass on the STRs and these frigging commercials made me miss it and a million other things.
Can you use the streams posted in the race OP on that laptop? It'd enable you to keep up while the adverts are on.
Best Driver: Maldonado, handled the pressure of Alonso pushing him after the 3rd stop with the composure of someone who’s been in F1 a lot longer than he has.. Worst Driver: Between Schumacher and Massa, one’s too old the others too [expletive] Best Rookie: Vergne. Best Team: Williams, nice little car, and good call on calling Maldonado in first to use the undercut and get ahead of Alonso (are you watching Lotus!) Worst Team: Mclaren for shooting themselves in the foot (again!) and Lotus not having the balls to call Kimi in a couple of laps earlier (again!) Best Overtake: All of Hamilton’s Funniest-moment: Most Surprising Result: A Redbull being lapped! Least Surprising Result: Massa and Schumacher being crap. Special Mention to: Hamilton, started 14 places behind Button, stopped one less time and on older rubber was faster than him at the end. Race Rating: Slow burner but compelling viewing from lap 40 onwards, 7/10 Best Commentator overall: Anyone but Crofty, sorry but if I want to hear the Jaws theme tune, I’ll watch the bloody movie! Its been said before, he talks far too much for TV commentary, sometimes less is more!
I've just tryed it and it turns out I can. I'd never tried it before because F1 has just changed on the East Aus Coast from a HD channel to standard-definition. And while the HD channel had commercials, it only had about half as many as SD. So there wasn't much need for me to see a stream. Cheers, I might try that from now on.
