They say Red Bull know how to party, Williams have burnt half the paddock down. It would be hilariously ironic if it was Kers, F1's attempts to be green causes an explosion and a massive fire.

Interesting that KERS was blamed almost immediately. Coulthard wasn't buying it, though.

BBC: The source is believed to be a Kers unit, which sparked a suspected fuel fire at the back of the garage.

Almost certainly written by Benson, so it must be true. <ok>

Try this one for size Sea-Man.
The news Genji has just prvided us with has broken my heart. I am so upset about this that I may turn my back on motor racing for good…

<yikes> Who was on the stewards panel this weekend? Everything has been punished pretty much to the maximum available. The first four races they let literally everything go. Terrible consistency.

How many times has Schumacher smashed into the back of cars? <doh> He has done it so many times such as Petrov at Valencia and Silverstone, or Perez at Singapore.

He'll take 10th in Monaco, its part of his pattern.

    retired
    10th
    retired
    10th
    retired

His teammate has over 20 times his points haul.

Its certainly not comparable to his 2004 season.

Mercedes were always going to be pretty **** round Monaco, but now Schumacher will be scrapping with the Caterhams and Toro Rossos again.

Wonder if Norbert Haug is questioning the wisdom of bringing him back.

Looking forward to the highlights. Been doing sun, sea and sand today in my devon homeland. Really well done to Maldonado. Thought he may have faded in the race but far from it!

Not going to spoil it too much by reading back through the comments to see what happened. WIll post up later, but just seen what happened to Senna's garage. Really lucky that no one appears seriously injured. Such a shame on a day when they really should be enjoying every moment.

Is this just a reminder of how good Williams once were, or can they go on and get some more good results this years? I rememmber talking to Cosi about this earlier in the year with Head and Williams standing back and allowing new blood to run the team and that it could be what they needed to get back through the field again. Didn't expect it would happen this quickly!

Everyone else has got off with a reprimand max in the last few years. Wasn't a great deal different to Button ploughing into the back of Karthikeyan and that wasn't even investigated.

Thats the last Grand Prix you would ever want a grid penalty, but didnt Michael favour zero tolerance during the drivers briefing <doh>

Yes it was, Button clipped Karthikeyan in a racing incident - which was as much down to the wet conditions as anything else - that left Karthikeyan in the race to screw up Vettel's race later on. Schumacher plowed straight into the back of Senna taking both of them out of the race.

Have to say the stewards in Spain have been harsher than those in other races, especially Bahrain.
