I have to agree! FFS indeed. Fernando was great today but Pastor was better. Even Nando acknowledged that.
McFerrari, FF is a Ferrari Fan and is entitled to his opinion (though biased). dont take it to heart.
Best Driver: Kamui Kobayashi. Has been outperforming Perez almost all weekend. And when Kamui does overachieve, he does so in what I think is a more entertaining way than Sergio. I'm taking nothing away from the Mexican, who is a fantastic talent, I'm just saying I'd watch Kamui over anyone. Worst Driver: Whichever driver was on the stewards panel. Closely followed by Michael Schumacher. Disappointing showing from Di Resta too. Best Rookie(Grosjean,Pic,Ricciardo,Vergne): Grosjean, very comfortably. Best Team: Williams, for the improvement they've made to that car and holding it all together Worst Team: McLaren, for continuing to provide great television in the pit lane. Best Overtake: Massa (and Button) on Di Resta. Funniest-moment: Not applicable. I'm not bitter about Maldonado's victory, fair play to him for doing a good job in a race-winning car. Who's to say that Hamilton would have beaten him? But after yesterday I really didn't go into the race in good humour. Most Surprising Result: Pasta holding champaigne on the podium Least Surprising Result: Hamilton's race being compromised for reasons beyond his control. I'm not just talking about the stewards, the team was culpable too. Hamilton is possibly driving as well this season as he ever has, and so far is showing a better temperament than he could reasonably be expected to. Special Mention to: Maldonado, for fulfilling the car's potential. He deserves most of the praise he is getting, but not all of it, as I'll explain later. Race Rating: 5/10. We saw three decent passes, but we normally get more than that in F1 these days. Michael was a bit of a prat and reacted like a total prat, but someone does that in every race. Therefore, the only thing that made the race stand out was surprise about the result. It would have been 6/10 for those reasons, but I'm giving it a -1 deduction for the stewards' disgraceful decision yesterday. Best Commentator overall: Ben Edwards. Worst Commentator: David Coulthard. I'll decide whether I'm right or wrong about a driver, you talentless, poorly dressed, incomprehensible halfwit. Whether he is the best or the worst driver on the grid, it is a matter of fact that Maldonado is in that car because he is paying to be in that car, and that if he wasn't paying Nico Hulkenburg would still be driving it. Fair play to Pastor for winning in the fastest car today, I fully admit that I didn't expect him to hold it together. But consistently achieving what the car is capable of will determine whether or not we were wrong about him. Today the car was capable of a race win (better than the Ferrari and 23 places ahead of the only properly set up McLaren), and Pastor achieved a race win. Time will tell how good he is.
You could argue Maldonado had a superior car, and it's just because he's a new winner people say he's done better. If that was say Vettel in the Williams and did the same thing, i think many more would vote for Alonso.
Best Driver: Pastor Maldonado Worst Driver: Schumacher Best Rookie(Grosjean,Pic,Ricciardo,Vergne): Can't choose between Grosjean and Vergne Best Team: Williams Worst Team: McLaren Best Overtake: Lewis on both Toro Rossos Funniest-moment: I can't think of anything Most Surprising Result: Maldo and Williams making it stick Least Surprising Result: Massa Special Mention to: Lewis for keeping his head and doing himself proud Race Rating: 10/10 Best Commentator overall: Dunno, Coulthard?
Oh come on, Fred, credit where it's due. Your beloved Fernando had the good grace to congratulate him, maybe you could too.
Best Driver: so many great drives, but I think a pay driver winning gets it. Maldonado Worst Driver: Schumacher easily. Best Rookie(Grosjean,Pic,Ricciardo,Vergne): Grosjean Best Team: Sauber, got unlucky with Kobay in Q3 and Perez being hit, great effort. Worst Team: HRT Best Overtake: Kobayashi on Button Funniest-moment: Most Surprising Result: Maldonado Least Surprising Result: Schumacher and Massa Special Mention to: Hamilton, Vettel, Kobayashi & the Lotus boys, excellent performances. Race Rating: 9/10 great race, seemed to fade a bit in the middle but you can't have 66 full out laps (can you?) Best Commentator overall:
He did well, i agree (I put him as best driver too ) I'm just stating why others might put Alonso instead.
