Why is this anti-arsenal thread? I made a valid point about this issue. It is nothing to do with us <ok>

    Goal.com or caughtoffside.com? Both equally ****.

You made a stupid comment attempting a wind up as per usual Arse4life <ok> So don't act surprised when names like Gervinho (or even Chamakh) are pointed out to you when you start chatting ****e about Wangers transfer record.

On topic undoubtedly this will be a bullshit story....but just on the off chance he did want to go then better to be in a position to sell after he's had a great season and get good cash. Still cant see it though, we've shown a lot of faith in him and now he's coming good he'd definitely be wise to stay a while.

He's been the most consistent defender for us this year so hope it's just rubbish. Still got few years on his contract so no reason why we have to sell unless someone comes in with a ridiculous offer.

Defence is sorted with normal back 4 and Kelly & Coates looking good for cover. Just need to hope Agger stays injury free next year as well.

I didn't even try and banter you boys <ok> If you want me to make a wind up comment I can do it. Plenty of ammunition with the way your club has performed this year. I am sure the best you lads can come up with is "7 years no trophy cept the EC hahahah" so there is no point engaging to be fair. Get some good material then maybe I would try and have some banter. Instead all I did was state my opinion and it became anti arsenal for some reason.

You didn't really state an opinion you made up some **** about us buying terribly and Wenger buying brilliant players every time <ok> You did engage but yet again were shot down and not only with the "you havent won anything in 7 years argument". However.....your Professor has signed so many good players....he hasn't won anything for 7 years <laugh> even when he does buy well, which I won't argue against the fact that he certainly has an eye for talent, but he is about as good at keeping hold of people as a pair of female mud wrestlers:

You tried and failed. Did anyone mention 7 years? (wow is it really that long?). We just came at you short and sweet, and shot you down bitch.

I'm warming to you A4L - at least you're not a tard like most of the opposition fans that come on here. Fancy a candlelit dinner to discuss Arsenal's transfer policies and RVP's move?

On topic; Would be surprised if this were true, firstly because it just doesn't fit with what we know about skrtel (I could be wrong on that though) but more reassuringly is the fact that the bollox website regularly comes up with this kind of shyte.

Off topic; A4L <laugh> you got owned mate, accept and move on to your next attempted wum.

Says it all that you dont think you bought terribly over the last number of years <doh> Downing and henderson and adam for 40m anyone <doh> Andy Carrott for £35m <doh>

Wenger doesnt get it right everytime but his problem is generally not spending enough because when he does spend he usually gets it right more often than not. That was the point I was making. I think you need to keep up pal <ok>

But he's given RVP Chamakh and Gervinho to support him...that was our rebuttle <ok> hard to argue against us on that one eh bollox.

Wengers problem (as my point accurately raised) has nothing to do with how much he spends, again as I stated above quite clearly I have no problem with the quality of players Wenger generally buys despite the odd **** up (all managers have them) it is clearly that he buys well then loses those players a few years later. Hence the mud wrestlers ya loony goon <ok> Fabregas, Nasri, Cashley, Gallas, Anelka, Adebayor, Clichy and soon RVP (whether this year or next) all gone. That's a pretty good basis of a team he's failed to keep happy.

Ps I dont think at any point I claimed we'd spent wisely. We have overspent on those listed and I would never argue against that although in Carrolls case he has plenty of years left to repay that fee so I have no issues with that one. You do however fail to consider that we do get it right too. We got Enricky for a bargain price, have had value for money from players like Skrtel, Lucas and Agger etc, Bellers on a free this year who's done ok and Suarez at what will end up looking like a bloody bargain price in todays mad market. Did we get good value last summer, overall no. I'd rather be in the position of spending some and failing occassionally though, rather than never spending and always losing the good players at the end of every season. It's a transfer policy that hasn't produced any trophies for 7 whole long years after all <laugh>

Seems like it may be true. Talksport reporter at the game said Skrtel is missing due to injury for this game, but confirmed that he will not be playing for liverpool again. Thats a bummer for us.

the thing that worries me with this is that i can see a lot of top teams being interested in him, lots of them could do with a cb

Not sure how many teams actually rate him tbh. I hope we can pursuade him to stay another season if he does want out, because I feel next season we'll improve further, and then let him reconsider his options. If he really does want to leave, he'll cost alot - that's for sure. Not letting him go cheaply.

I think a lot would see him as a cheaper option to going for someone like hummels or subotic, barca, madrid and bayern could all do with a cb

The thing is I don't think the biggest clubs will be interested in him.
