If Newcastle can attract those names then Liverpool can attract bigger fish my friend.

I don't know, we might have more trophies in the cabinet, but I think players are more attracted by the "Big unsymmetrical Stadium" Trophy and "Finished 5th and nearly got the CL" Cup. There's just no way we can compete with that kind of immense success.

    Barcodes.. <rofl>

We haven't attracted big names we have bought in quality at a decent price something Dogleash has no fooking idea about.

LOL - You can take Ba! It would take silly money to get the others.

On a serious note... Do you think you need to replace Pepe?? He's starting to look a bit shaky between the sticks lately. Maybe hes halfway out the door already, maybe a big club is coming in for him :p

Alan Pardew has said Newcastle are trying to sign a player who is a strong header of the ball, a center half who can score 8 goals and season and who is close to Yohan Cabaye.

    Not very specific then...

    I wonder who it is...

Lets be honest here, Newcastle were fortunate that their injury prone signings stayed fit most the season. Other clubs turned down Ba, Ben Arfa, Cisse because of the gamble on fitness. Newcastle took them and the gamble happened to pay off. Lets not forget Marveaux who didn't quite turn out so well, who we declined for his fitness reasons. I'm taking nothing away from their performances or from the manager, but there was an element in luck that their transfers stayed fit when they could easily have missed most of the year and everyone would be saying how their scouting network was ****.

Much like Arsenal were blessed that RVP managed to stay in one piece all season, infact.

Maybe luck just favours the bold, but I'd love to see what newcastle do this summer. More gambles or buying quality? Maybe the guys all get injured this time...if they even stay in the north east.

    How about going for Walcott?
He's out of contract and is a Liverpool fan (he went to Arsenal because his Dad supports them)
    Would give much needed pace???
