    1) Who do you want to win?

    and..

    2) What is best for CAFC?

Stevenage for me - if the rumour about us wanting 2 Sheff U players, then the earlier exit the better- however, they were the best team to visit the Valley last season.
How nice is it for us to know that we are already through, and no worries !

Guess its better for us if Stevenage go up as they will be weaker next year than Sheff U. But I just don't like them. Pub team. I like Danny Wilson and Sheff u but the whole Evans thing leaves a big question mark over them. All things considered I hope Sheff u get through but I would like to see MK Dons go up overall. Purely on the basis that it's another easily accessible away game next season and I think they have played nice football this year.

Probably Stevenage because they will not spend as much money as Sheff Utd would next season BUT I thought the Blades were the better team.

Not sure I want MK to go up due to their manager :(

Not sure I want MK to go up because I don't think they ought to be in the League in the first place.

No disrespect to the city of Milton Keynes which is certainly big enough to support a League team. but their slight-of-hand promotion was a slap in the face to the supporters of major non-League teams who had battled for promotion and narrowly missed out year after year.

If they wanted League status they should have earned it by working their way up through the divisions. AFC Wimbledon have shown that is possible.

I'd rather Stevenage go up coz I always love an underdog (plus I believe that would be 3 successive promotions for them?). If Shef Utd stay down it will be less competition on the transfer front etc, one less tricky game next year (no disrespect to Stevenage), as well as less hype over the whole Evans court case.

I would hate MK Dons to go up, I don't care how pretty they play football, they're an absolute disgrace to the game and shouldn't even be in the league (plus their manager is a deluded oaf).

Between us we have failed to mention Huddersfield. Probably means they will win the thing!

Good luck to MK Dons, they've played good football all season which is what it is all about and are a credit to the league.

Not that bothered really but I suppose if Utd. went up it would be good for the Championship to have the 2 Sheffield teams in and therefore good for us.

Would like to see Stevenage join us, as WWOCB said you've gotta love the Underdog and if the others dont go up we can steal their players:

Sheff U: Quinn / Huddersfield: Rhodes / MKDonalds: Gleeson

Still watching Sheff Utd last night I have to ask the Question... Where are their goals gonna come from, Potter did nothing last night and there is no Evans or Beattie now (Cresswell is their only other Striker I think)

A credit to the league? Really?!! They're a shame to the whole of football - they should have been made to go up through the leagues when they were founded (a la AFC Wimbledon, FC United, Chester etc) rather than being given a free pass to the Football League.

Personally I hope they stay down, and that this time next year AFC can be looking forward to the prospect of playing them the following season, show them how a real, ethical football club is run.

As for 'Udders, the fantasist in me wants them to stay down so we can nick Rhodes. The realist knows that if they go up they'll keep him, if they stay down he'll be off to the lower reaches of the Prem.

Yes a credit to the league. The club and their fans rise above the undeserved hatred from people who are unable to move on and come out of it on top, they just keep on going and come back stronger. Their club is embedded in the community and the brand of football they play is attractive as it has been throughout the season, whether or not they go up via the play offs.

Have to agree with you Pat, its time to move on, however they got their status. One thing is for sure, they certainly have put a lot more money into their stadium than Wimbledon did to their poxy old dump.
Move on, get over it, and let them be what they want to be without having to have a moan about it.

    Seriously?

So if our board decided to relocate Charlton up to Northampton and complete rebrand them as the 'Northampton Globetrotters' (wearing blue and white stripes, a new badge, a new stadium, a new nickname, new mascots), blowing all memory of our FA Cup final win, our 7 year stay in the top flight, all our medals, our cups, the 'Back to the Valley' story, our years in the wilderness, memories of Super Clive, Derek Hales, Sam Bartram...all into nothingness, whilst occupying our place in the Championship - forcing us to either follow their new Franchise, or create our own 'AFC Charlton' pub team to play in the 10th tier...that given all that we would just get over it, and praise 'Northampton Globetrotters' for playing pretty football?

Well said Addick Stu, some people will not let go and continue to attack and tarnish a whole new generation of fans supporting their local team in their local community, to me it smacks of sour grapes. I can only wish them all the very best and will carry on doing so and have nothing but praise for what they've done to their stadium, Milton Keynes and respect them all for rising above all they have to put up with.

Yeah but wouldn't it be nice if AFC Wimbledon met them in the Cup and gave them a damned good thrashing?
I was speaking to Dickie Guy, who is now president of AFC Wimbledon, when we were in the Premier League and AFC were low down the non-league ladder. Who would have thought then that under Parky we would come within one division of them?
Incidentally did you know that he was in goal for Maidstone when Killer & Flash had their fight? Some said the ref stepped in too early but I thought he got it just right.

Pretty tasty goal from Rhodes today - lovely placement.

Their keeper looked pretty sharp as well, with a couple of fine saves, not bad for a forty-something...

None of us are comfortable WWOCB with how they got their status, but its now time to move on. If the same was to happen to Charlton (and, believe it or not, Charlton did explore the possibility of moving to MK in the seventies) then i would be mortified, however, my motto is, 'Dont look back', its happened, it wont change back, move on.They seem to have a loyal, growing bunch of fans (with bigger crowds than Wimbledon used to get), that are supporting their local team, -not ManU or Liverpool, its time to leave them alone, and admire the fabulous stadium they are erecting - good luck to them i say, in my eyes Football is a better place with MKD than Wimbledon.
TBH, MK have put a lot more into the football club than Wimbledon did - after all, Plough Lane was a tip (lovely housing estate now), playing them was dreadful as they used to kick you off the park, and watching them play was just as dreadful.

I don't like MK dons, but the fans have always seemed very decent. I also don't like their chairman. I think he would make a great cowardly villain in the new James bond or spy kids movie.

Agreed, Super - even after we'd clobbered them last season, had a good laugh with a group of fans walking back up through Charlton Park.

"Rob the Gob" is at it again this morning, unfortunately -
