The guy is an idiot, there was nothing deliberate in what happened, watch the replays if you don't believe me. I hope, but doubt very much, because it's Arsenal, that there will be an inquiry into what he's said, and as soon as he's fit again should be banned for at least 6 months. i think you might have gone a bit far demanding a ban but i do think the FA should look into his comments as they bring the game into disrepute. you can't go around accusing fellow professionals of attempting to injure you on purpose unless there is extensive evidence to suggest otherwise, and there most certainly is not in this case! i watched the incident live and have seen tv replays since and for me there is clearly no intention to hurt him - its merely a coming together. i found his comments disgusting and i suspect this is all because he knows he'll miss the euro's and he's probably massively disappointed. however, none of that excuses what he said, and i'm more than a bit fed up of the constant 'conspiracy' theories being bandied about by arsenal fans since about why they get so many broken legs. its very unfortunate for them but you can't start accusing people like this - its bang out of order
Worst post ever. When you set out to kick teams off the park like norwich did to us then its no surprise leg breaks happen. Norwich's tactics were disgusting and the club and their fans need to have a long-hard think about what sort of club they want to be.

Martin Keown did it, Tony Adams did it, Patrick Vieria did it, your ladies team is more aggressive than your current players. I seem to remember Tony Adams throwing one of his own team mates to the ground breaking his collar bone! Unlike the so called rich teams, which I see you believe you are we run our club within our means. We were minutes away from going out of business 3 years ago, at the bottom of Division 1, two promotions in consecutive years, now see us in the best league in the world and you choose to mock us for our achievements, and the way YOU perceive the way we play the game. Are you still going on? Look at the matches where your team has wilted in the face of a physical, yet very much legal, approach. Bobby Zamora, a bloke who puts in a fair shift but will never be more than an average centre-forward, completely dominated Koscielny and Vermaelen. Ditto for Holt. You always get done at Stoke because the players don't fancy it. Why should every team try and play tippy-tappy ineffective football and flood their midfield with midgets who can pass the ball five yards but not much else just because your manager seemingly refuses to accept it's a contact sport?
You really couldn't be missing the point more. Arsenal's weakness is that they wilt too often against a physical threat, hence dropping points to Stoke, Norwich and QPR amongst others. If they didn't play like tarts every now and again then they'd be challenging with United and City. Constantly whining that teams dare not play football in such beautifully intricate a way as Wenger tries, and doesn't always succeed, to do only makes your fans seem bitter. Blaming other clubs when it was clearly a completely innocuous tackle just makes you seem unintelligent. And I'd kill for some mid-table obscurity.
