I heard a rumour he's being used as the ball at the next stoke game, as they tend to just throw the ball. So let's see how far Rory Delap can throw Mr. E

Hamilton is good for revenue just by being there: winning, losing, pole, penalty, whatever, he's going to be there. This shocking penalty has generated a motherlode of publicity just as it's supposed to. And now we've all forgotten the PR disaster of Bahrain it's business as usual.

How many winning teams don't have a past of manipulating rules? This is irrelevant.

thats probably a good shout , maybe these stewards have long memories , i certainly have and i cant forget mclarens very suspect past ,

the patriotic souls over the years on the various english based F1 forums have cast ferrari as lower than a snake"s belly , but when you really examine things deeply mclaren have probably been worse than everybody else - and by some margin ,

It was always going to be business as usual. You really think the media cared about Bahrain? They just found a good excuse to fill some column inches.

Maybe "Bernie toss" could be a new sport, it could have a medals system also, and sprinklers could randomly come on so he would slide further as well.

thing is mclaren have been caught " manipulating " the rules more than anybody else in recent years , is it any wonder that the stewards or the FIA probably dont trust a word they say anymore ?

You can't penalize that way... you can only penalize for the infringement. If they do wrong, apply the rules but don't throw the kitchen sink at em.

The in favor, out of favor cycle will always continue. This retrospective bull needs to stop.

Btw... I really do want to apologize if I have come across as rude. It's really not my intention.

I'm a Hamilton fan, and this one has bent me all out of shape. He had a fabulous session and I'm sure you'd all agree, was a deserved pole sitter and on his best chance of a win in some time. It's a bitter pill to swallow... so once again, I offer my apologies.

Bernie Toss sounds like my kind of sport, especially as I'm increasingly disgusted by F1. The problem is that it wouldn't last long unless we can embalm him or make clones. But Bernie clones sounds like a dangerous prospect for the future. I expect he's already done it to himself though; he probably died years ago.

see where you are coming from sgt , but mclaren are a very professional outfit with some of the most sophisticated hi tech kit on the planet , how difficult can it be to measure the right amount of fuel into a car for a couple of laps ,

if it is cheating , it is not the first time , probally why they will allways be viewed with suspicion by any steward that has a memory , if it is cheating they deserve everything they get ,

I don't disagree. Cheating should punishable, but it should be based on the current circumstance. McLaren were dragged over the coals on '07 (oh ****... I mentioned it, let's not go down this road) but Renault were given amnesty for the same infringement. Renault were in favor at the time... As soon as they were out if favor, they got shafted by crashgate.

Punishment all seems to be about who is in favor at the time. It's too grey and too open to corruption.

as i said mclaren have the worst history of suspect play in recent yrs is it any wonder they are not trusted anymore ,
i could maybe sympathise with mclaren if filling a car with enough fuel for a couple of laps was a difficult thing to do , but lets have it right with the equipment mclaren have it is a very very very very easy task to perform , hence why maybe they were thought to be cheating today ,

it would"nt be the first time they have been caught with there hand in the cookie jar would it ?

I dislike McLaren but i have to disagree. Ferrari are without doubt the masters of shady beaviour, they bought the FIA for 6 straight years. They had all the rules in their favour, anyone who didn't like it was basically told to bugger off.
