Thats a big leap for a guy finding his feet. Keeping is about being consistant more than anything. Its hard to rate your own players and a good way to do it is to compare them to players in your past. You honestly cant say de gea is even close to VDS. I dont think he will ever get to that level...although he could...but to presume development is always dangerous espciially for a keeper
"Yes I spoke with Sir Alex. I dream of playing in England and Manchester United is the biggest club in the world" Kagawa post game interview
Kagawa says he wants to play in england and United are the biggest club in the world. No doubt meth21 just posted it but its off twitter anyway. I found it on redcafe cos **** twitter.
Being twitter its likely to bullshit mind. Just have to wait for the post game interviews to be published and then find someone who speaks fluent german and or japanese.
Kagawa: "For sure, Manchester is a big club, but what the future holds I do not know, know now" # # BVB MUFC
Manuel Neuer is the best keeper in world football, he just had an off day today. Everyone has them. As much as i like him, i would trade Wojcech Szczesny for Neuer in a second.
Not all that big a leap imo. When VDS was aged 21 he was stuck in the Ajax reserves, and no one expected him to get close to the level he did. Ditto Schmeichel aged 21, getting relegated in the Danish league with Hvidovre. He still has a long way to go, but to be where he is at the age, and with his errors being more related to experience than talent, shows a lot of promise.
Very true. I was guilty of taking the piss out of him earlier in the season. But I'm humble enough to say I was wrong, I predict a fantastic keeper for years to come. You ****ers
