Chelsea are 6th and can't finish any higher or any lower, so I don't see what significance it has on us what team they pick.

I didn't say it was on us Original if you look. They will play a very weakened team and I'm just wondering who it will be.

    :D

Aslong as it's not the first one, makes the guy look like he's got webbed armpits! <yikes>

Not sure we're really suited to the Cameroon style sleeveless one either:

As if Stoke away in winter isn't bad enough already, maybe one for the Geordies.

No probs. Massive match for them against Bayern because if they lose it then it's obscurity. 4 top players are out so it's one huge ask and it's at Bayern. They won't attract a top manager or players next season if it's Europa and a few established names will quit.

In 21 Premier league games the results stand at Spurs W15 L 6. Of those wins, 9 are at home where we have a goals F/A record of +19 (22 F 3 A) - Best result in 2007 when we thumped then 5-1.

    My predo:

Spurs 2 Fulham 1 (Ade, Bale)

"I propose audrey.s.thackeray for an award for his contributions to the prediction league.
Call the award what you want but make it a double." :emoticon-0111-blush
    (Blue and White)
    "Funniest contributor - Audrey.S.Thackeray" :emoticon-0111-blush
    (Wandering Yid)

Gosh, guys! I've come over all unnecessary!

And thanks to you two, plus Spurf, Harrys Disciple, Dona_Mara, Rebelsopur and PleaseNot Poll for your encouragement in previous weeks/threads. :emoticon-0109-kiss:
(You see, you've only yourselves to blame for all this!)

And in reply to HarrysDisciple and PleaseNot Poll: I've often wondered how it comes about that a new chant is heard acoross the terraces. Like the brilliant one for Ledley which suddenly emerged not long since. I'd love to use get people singing one of my choruses as a chant, but sitting at the silent end of the ground (it's safer for us venerable OAPs!) there's not a lot of chance that anyone would join in if I tried to start. Just ending up looking/ sounding like a twit. And I have a problem joining in with many of the chants anyway, because they're all pitched for teenagers with unbroken voices, I reckon. Or maybe Pavarotti! (Or eunuchs.) So I'll leave it to one of you Park Lane chaps to make the first move. I promise to join in (probably an octave lower!) if I hear it. (Then you'll know who I am - I'll be the only one singing in the Paxton!):emoticon-0127-lipss

Anyway, here's the song for the last game of the season, hoping it proves prophetic - and hoping the tension doesn't overwhelm us all - including the players - in 48 hours time......... COYS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    A SONG FOR SUNDAY

(with apologies to Lionel Bart etcetc)

Is it worth the waiting for?
    (It seemed pretty good before!)
(But) All we ever get is Fulham!
Ev'ry day we say our prayer --
Will they change the bill of fare?
Still we get the same old Fulham!
There’s not a game, not a match can we watch,
When it’s not ‘gainst the same old teams,
But there's nothing to stop us from getting a thrill
When we all close our eyes for our dreams of…..

    League, Champions League!
    That’s where we are heading!
    We want something more (than)
    Southampton or Reading!
    Inter and AC Milan
    (Let’s not be a Jonah!)
One win and we have it, boys --
    Barcelona!

    League, Champions League!
    We're anxious to try it.
    Three crackers from Bale -
    Our favourite diet!
Just beating a German team --
    Done, without fatigue:
    That League,
    Wonderful League,
    Marvellous League,
    Champions League.

    League, Champions League!
    That’s what we’re all saying!
    Leave the Barcodes behind -
    Get Everton playing!
We need some help from West Brom,
    So that we can scoff;
(And a) Big lasagne for Arsenal’s squad
    [Rice is off!!!]

    League, Champions League!
    With Assou-Ekotto,
    Bale, Modric, Defoe
    Re-living our motto.
    Sandro and Adebayor.
Please give us the lead (for)
    The League,
    Once again, League
    Fabulous League,
    Champions League.

    League, Champions League!
Don't care how we get there:
Fluke, own goal or hand -
    Don't care if it’s unfair.
Don’t care if it crossed the line
    Or (a) linesman’s gone barmy -
We want to be in Redknapp’s
    Euro-Army!

    League, Champions League!
    What wouldn't we give for
    That extra bit more?!
That's all that we live for!
Why should we be fated to
    Be fourth every week?
    That League,
    Magical League,
    Wonderful League,
    Marvellous League,
    Champions League!

    :smiley-finger007:

My prediction is: Spurs 5 Fulham 1
VDV, Sandro, Ade, Defoe & Bale (surely....... under the bar this time?!)

I'd like to say it's been a pleasure smart. Then again you can't have everything you want. <ok>

Thanks, once again, Spurf, for running the comp this year. Must say, I didn't know how it would work out, leaving the original 606 - hopefully everyone is coming back, next season - and a few more players, old and new, will be joining in to make it a bumper league.

For the third season in a row, I have predicted only WINS for us - and I'm in with a shot of a CL place, if (I love) Martin Jol doesn't wreck the party and West Brom players and fans do their bit for Roy and to Wenger (who would have been buried, this year, if not for van Persie).

My final prediction for the season:

    TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR 3:1 fulham

Adebayor (may it not be his last goal for the club)
Van der Vaart (he's got his touch back)
Bale (forget about Barcelona, son. THIS is where you belong).

    COME ON YOU SPURS!!! :)
