I must say, it is looking increasingly likely that Hamilton will get a penalty. If he loses his times from Q3, he will start 8th.
considering the amount of accusations being thrown about regrding illegal moves on the race track, how come no one complains when people have 4 wheels off the track whilst setting qualifying laps? I noticed mr 'zero tolerence' was guilty of 'leaving the track' during his last run in Q2, which would've put him out.
His earlier lap would count, which was a 1.22.560 which puts him in 6th - the same effect as a 5 place grid penalty.
F12012's comment was a prediction based on Hamilton's past. My reference to Schumacher's antics is similarly relevant, since it makes a point about penalties and stewarding in general for transgressions of the rules. Schumacher is simply the easiest example. I am sure there are plenty of other examples but he just springs to mind so easily. Nothing personal 'mate'…
Not really, if it was really a reprimand then the FIA would fo said so already. Considering it's taking so long they must be dicussing of a punishment.
Natalie Pinkham ‏ @NataliePinkham The moment @Pastormaldo found out he got pole.... With his gorgeous girlfriend Gabi http://pic.twitter.com/C8cXIuVo Does this mean Hamilton has been penalised?
Jake Humphrey‏@mrjakehumphrey I'm hearing Williams are on pole and Lewis starts at the back...nothing official yet
As I understand it, as well as the option to discount the fastest lap, the stewards have other options, such as to discount all times from Q3. We must wait to see what discretion they show, if any…
James Allen ‏ @Jamesallenonf1 #f1 Hamilton thrown out of qualifying, starts at back of the grid, we're hearing.
