Here is Mercedes' views on what happened, and what they will try to do tomorrow.

Just three teams got both their cars into the top ten shoot-out this afternoon, including MERCEDES AMG PETRONAS. "From a team perspective, we got two cars into the top ten and both drivers will start from the cleaner side of the grid, while our positions were probably as good as we could have achieved with the way we chose to use the tyres," said Bell. "Tomorrow's forecast is still for cooler temperatures, and with what we have seen both this weekend and this season so far, we know that a difference of several degrees in track temperature can make a huge difference to how different cars perform. We can expect a very interesting race."

Vice-President Mercedes-Benz Motorsport Norbert Haug expects an exciting race: "It is most likely that we will see changes in the top ten order from today at the end of the race tomorrow. Our target will be to score points with both cars posting consistent lap times, as Nico did during his long run at the end of the final practice session this morning."

Use Tweetdeck or Seismic and the new posts come through automatically. Obviously it's a pain if you're watching a popular trending topic but it's better than the web interface.

How much cooler will tomorrow be from today? Enough to make a significant difference?

EDIT: I thought Quali was about putting a lap in with enough fuel to carry the car back into the garage, so I believe Hamilton's pole lap may not be what it seems.

Apparent Vettel has a penalty for impeding Hulkenberg. Twitter gossip.

I hate GPs when Button is struggling; they are so depressing. :(

Hope Alonso and/or Kimi can get a good result tomorrow, and we see Button, Senna and Webber with good drives up the field.

Yeah, that's all Schumacher gets for what I believe have been far more serious, driving transgressions (including during this morning's 3rd Practice, which was admittedly less dangerous than Monza antics, or driving someone towards a wall ), so probably par for the course…

I doubt Lewis would be demoted lower than 6th. But if McLaren are found to be trying to mislead the FIA again, well.........lets just say I wont be around on the internet for my own medical safety lol!

I think you should know when it is enough to bring Schumacher into every living comment on a thread. It is just irrelevant mate.

Can't they just put him down to 6th already and put us out of our misery?

Then I can get on with my conspiracy theory

For me it just feels the FIA are targeting McLaren now and Lewis will get dragged into it. McLaren have dug a hole and then dug deeper and the reamins of the dirt have been placed on Lewis' lap.

So cooler temperatures, as well as the chance of rain for the race.. (which may pass over when the chequered flag has been waved).
