Actually old mate. On the latest poll 54% were for the change....and new polls today are putting that even higher now......soooooo across the wider fan base it was even or more for change. The thing is the against party took an abusive stance which appears to have been the straw that broke the camel's back. No one likes to see abuse beat reasoned debate...Oh hang on...forgot who I was talking to.
A lot of so called fans (younger) who cant remember, the old days and believe me they were not all good. We had a chance to compete on the big stage. But thanks to some of these so called fans, who are easily led, by the so called fan leaders. Who I believe have hidden agenda's , maybe its easier to lead 1800 fans on a cold, wet Tuesday night against Rochdale ,then maybe 35000 on a wednesday night against Man City. But there we are still in blue, lets hope we don't end up in the Blue square.Where even the 1800 would be a good crowd. The sick feeling I had last night, was the worse I have ever felt about Cardiff City. No defeat has ever made me feel so ill. I just hope that VT/TG can see we are all not vile racist thugs, and the majority of us want to move forward, and look to the future, not like the minority of fans (bully boys) who want to live in the past.
I was and am against going from blue to red. Most against it were making reasonable arguments. Sadly a minority of our fans showed themselves up with racist comments and bullying. No time for this at all. Last night I though id had enough. Do I want to spend my Saturdays amongst them. Have to remind myself they are in a minority. If its a choice of save the club and play in red then id rather play in red. However through sensible talks I hope we can still get investment by playing in blue. Not bothered about large sums chasing PL football. Just enough to keep going.
absolutely, all i want at present is for the debts to be paid off before we embark on spending, we've got a good stadium, good facilities and a good manager/ playering squad so apart from all the financial stuff we're actually in quite good shape. increasing capacity to 35,000 is not something that i think should happen until we're consistently selling out, for which we need at least 2/3 years in the PL. but i think all the fans should have been consulted with a letter maybe, where we could say if we were for or against it. leaking it meant that the vocal minority immedietely start campaigning on twitter, outside stadium etc, and gave the impression that they represent 95% of the fans, which we dont know tbh.
There are also people on mbs who are not City fans who claim to be who are stirring it. Some of the claims and rubbish ive read are unbelievable. Thing is some fall for anything. It would be funny if it wasnt so serious.
Hilts - Has anyone told them that, or aren't they wordly-wise enough to realise it? Are they so naive that they believe all that crap about threats posted on message boards and twitter anyway? I think we're underestimating them - they're not as "isolated and outside UK football reality" in Malaysia as they'd have us believe. I'm not suggesting that they've engineered this standoff, but I'm pretty sure it worries them less than they'd have us believe. Let's hope for a good resolution out of all this furore both for themsleves and the club. As far as non City posters on the other mbs causing trouble, I've no doubt you're right Hilts, but don't let it deflect attention away from the habitual Cardiff so called supporters who've made such vitriolic threats towards VT, TG and their families. They are the by far in the majority and should be ashamed of themselves.
No H - I mean the majority of those who posted such comments when compared with the "interlopers" from other clubs intent on causing trouble.
Well Chaps and Chapasses, I am going out tonight with a few mates, and i am going to get blasted, and not talk about football. Now that the season is over, guess where i am off to tommorrow....Yes thats right...The Malvern Flower Show. I am sure i will have a fine time amongst the seeds and things. Therefore Mr Strongbow look out tonight because its a gallon for me.
Being an old Matelot.. I'll drink anything, even tried a bit of Ormig juice and orange years ago, not recommended. Before anybody asks wtf is ormig juice, google it !! Anyway its getting close to Strongbow and Piss time
You can all put me on your ignore button , couldn't give a sh#t . More people read this board than post on it & I get a felling the readers are more with it than the posters sometimes . Siam & Swamp are the only ones that can make me disappear & there problem is they have scruples . The Malaysians better put the money they've been waving around back on the table or there not worthy of running the club !! .... that is all !!
I noticed that too H but felt sorry for him, reading that it looks like his only friends are imagined posters. Pity.
