right, i had a buyer for my item (downloadable media not allowed on ebay) and he bought it, money is in my paypal account and now ebay have taken the auction down, despite me selling these downloads without any issues for a couple of weeks now....can i go through with the sale and give him his download or do i have to refund him?

I would give him his download and keep the money. There is nothing eBay can do about it if you do.

    100% certain.

They cannot stop you sending an e-mail with a link of attachment to the buyer, there is now bugger all they can or will do mate. The money in Paypal is now untouchable unless the buyer asks for a refund. Get his email address from the Paypal payment and e-mail him <ok>

thats what i'm scared about, i give him the fifa 12 coins then he screws me and says he wants a refund!

how it works is they put up a worthless player, i buy him and they get coins. so i lose out if he screws me over thats why i'm a bit nervous lol

He can't insist on a refund through Paypal as he has not bought a tangible item, it is classed as a service and Paypal do not refund services payments - that is why eBay stopped "downloads" being sold. People were taking money and sending either rubbish or nothing and the buyer can do nothing about it. As far as I know that policy has not changed in either eBay or Paypal.

If you want to continue selling this kind of thing there is a way round it.

Download them on to a CD, advertise them as CD's and post the CD with it on.

It now becomes a tangible asset in as much as the CD has a physical presence in the world <ok>

Yep, that should be fine. Even if he is unhappy, he cannot leave any feedback as the sale should not register on either your account or his now <ok>

That is ok as long as you don't want to keep selling on the site. Eventually you are likely to get your account suspended.

ah well, the little **** lied through his teeth and said i havnt responded to him.

i just refunded because its only 7.99 and i cba with all this hassle, thanks anyway.

thai, i've seen people power selling what i sell, like 100+. people even have online businesses selling coins.

i might be paranoid but a guy basically copied my exact listing last weekend and put it up for a penny less, i sent him a few abusive messages, maybe it was him who reported it!

Swamp, I've no idea how ebay works but couldn't you do the same thing? Pretty straight forward to set up a site with a PayPal link or even a CC facility. Apologies if I'm being naive :emoticon-0114-dull:

haha, that'll do it every time :D

I tried to warn you m8. It's a buyers market on Ebay. One ****y customer feedback can ruin your reputation and you have no rights to appeal.
