Yea, well i had an eye on him for a while then they offered me him for 32 mill and im just not sure never bought more than 15mill so this kind of money is uncharted territory for me
If he was a bit younger I'd say he might be worth it, but you're only going to get 2-3 seasons out of him.
Yeah I play 4-2-3-1/4-5-1 and he absolutely nails it as a poacher, though it did take until he was about 22 for him to start getting 20+ goals a season. When he was younger, I played 2 up front because I was struggling in La Liga and he wouldn't have been able to hack it on his own. He makes a good trequartista when playing in a 4-4-2 and he had a good partnership with Riki who was an advanced forward.
ahh crap appearing in my menu, Rossi set to sign for saints... AHHH dont know what to do, got him on 100k and 32 mill, dont know whether to accept!!
Well all of the good clubs were in for him so i just smacked on a bit and somehow won... my fiances are very good so nothing to worry about there
Just began my first year in the Prem, and I have an overabundance of offensive talent...Erick Torres, Carlos Fierro, Adam Lallana, Matt Phillips, John Fleck, Dani Benitez and others. I also have a defense cobbled together out of spare parts, because every defender of any value decided that they were too good for me. Curious whether I can end up with 100 or more goals for and against.
i signed a guy called derick boyota for 4 mil from man city reserves, seems average but he is an true beast. Still my best defender and i am top 5
Wow, Torres and Fierro. I always wanted to reunite them but was never able to. You might be happy to know that they have both been in league-winning teams on my game, and were both involved in Mexico's unbelievable World Cup winning team of 2022.
I'd had Torres in my last save, and he was beastly. Got him while in the Championship (first signing, actually) for $3.5m over 48 months, no other clauses. Got Fierro after being promoted (wouldn't sign before, couldn't come over anyway) for $4m over 48 months, no other clauses. Fleck for $3m, Phillips for $4m over 48 (probably an overpay). Torres scored 32 in the Championship, and has four in four in the Prem thus far, with a hat trick in his first game. I'd intended to have Fierro come off the bench for his first season, but he just got his first start with Torres suspended and posted two goals and an assist, so he might see more regular action.
Not my finest hour as manager: please log in to view this image Was the second of three games in five days at the end of the calendar year, and I figured that I might as well rest a few players, as I had more of a chance of getting points against Bolton (1 win in 19) two days later than against a Man U side that has been pretty dominant. That might have been a miscalculation. Also curious how this kid I bought will turn out...complete mental midget, but his physical and technical stats could be off the charts, and he's two-footed to boot: please log in to view this image
Started a new file with Forest Green rovers as I have a friend who supports them. Had a good first season, got promoted via the play-offs, got to the 4th round of the FA Cup, where Blackburn knocked me out 4-0, and I won the FA Trophy without spending anything, also got Middlesbrough as a feeder club, so could get some decent youngsters/reserves on loan next year. Southampton got promoted and lost in the FA Cup final 2-1 to Man City!
It was pretty special stuff; they scored on their first seven shots on target, and were helped along by the fact that my morale cratered after four or five. My defenders were a bit on the slow side, and they just kept going by them and putting crosses into the six-yard box, where Joe Lewis could not be arsed to go after them. I'd estimate that 8-10 of those goals were tap-ins. Despite that, it's mid-January and I'm in good stead to finish in the top half in my first year in the Prem. Stoke, meanwhile, is second. Chelsea finished 10th the year before, after being down in 14th/15th for most of the season. It's an odd league.
