    Can't remember this thread either but thought I'd join in;

I'm 51 born and bred in Sunderland - Silksworth to be precise, though we lived at Doxford Park from when I was 7ish till I left home. Went to Southmoor School on Ryhope Road, as did my 2 brothers and several cousins. Originally a mining family (Silksworth and Ryhope pits) my dad was the only one who didn't work in the pits and grandad was adamant none of his grandsons would be either !

Joined the Army at 16 and served until 28 when i moved into the Nottinghamshire area for work. Never married but lived with a couple of lasses; don't get home as much since dad died 2 years back and have moved mam down here. Don't get to as many games as I'd like but it is 270 mile round-trip and away games are often easier. I'm a keen motorcyclist and just become a member of the Royal British Legion motocyclists branch. Oh and I live in a former Notts pit village with a surprising number of expat Mackems and Skunks - in fact the two tops are probably the most common seen around here.

Apart from that - not much else to say.....

Born and bred in Sunderland, 53 years old last month, born in Hendon, raised in Town End Farm and moved to Washington where i still live. Went to Bexhill and then Red House comp and as the name says, i'm a welder, or was.
I'm now in the oil industry and work overseas on a rotational basis due to a lack of work in the UK, spent the last 20 or so years in africa and now based in Nigeria, have 2 season tickets for myself and my son but only get to about half of the home games due to work commitments. Bugger, i'm missing tomorrows match as well, for me the best home match of the season (except derbies)
Was lucky enough to get to wembley in 73, my fondest memory of following the lads, hoping MON can work his magic so can get to see the new wembley.

    let me help,

I am commo, a 67 year old sexual deviant who is living in exile due to unimaginable sexual activity with a pig while working on a farm in Derbyshire in 1997.

After a short trial was shipped out here and now work on a pig farm, ever day I work overtime and literally are happy as a pig in ****.

I live with a girl called George, a nice boy from Oldham.

Im 23 years old. I was born in Newcastle, but lived in Sunderland since 1989. I grew up in South Hylton, and went to St Annes primary school. I then went to St Aidans RC Catholic school where I completed my GCSE's. I then went to St Aidans Sixth Form to complete my A levels.

After my A levels I went to University of Sunderland and got a degree in English Language and Literarture in 2010.

I worked at Littlewood Call Centre part time during 2005-2010. After my degree I went to More Than call centre for a year to save for my travels.

I decided that I had enough of Sunderland and wanted to see the world - so January 2011 I decided to travel Australia, New Zealand and Asia. I am currently living in Brisbane, and have done since January. I live with 3 other guys. One is my mate from Sunderland, been mates for about 10 yrs. The other 2 guys are from Swindon who I met over here. The keep bringing up the fact they won a trophy this season and we havn't.

I will be leaving Brisbane end of July and travelling New Zealand for a month.

Havn't got much else to say really.

    Oh what the hell. Lol

47 years young and was born and bred and now live in the sleepy god blessed hamlet of Chester-on-the-Wear (keep telling the thick mags in Chester le Street that its a Wearside town and always will be).

Married and divorced (thankfully) but equally thankfully, I now have the most amazing little 7 year old girl for a daughter and she is my best mate and companion. She is a bundle of energy and fun and keeps me sane and young of heart. Whatever the circumstances of a marriage and its demise, its important that your kids don't suffer. Mine doesn't at all.

I am a Branch Manager for a freight forwarding company up at Ponteland Airport and have been in this industry for 14 years. Went back at the age of 31 to do a business degree at the Sunderland University Business School and got a 2:1 honours degree, for which I am very proud - I actually did it in 2 years (did the first 2 years in year and then a normal final year) which was a killer but worth it.

I've worked in various industries over the years and done a variety of jobs as I just didn't have a clue what I wanted to do after school. Lesson one in life - listen to your dad more next time as they really DO know best. Lol.

Followed the lads since the 1974/75 season and never missed one since. Had too many heartaches and not enough glory but hey, I wouldn't swap supporting SAFC for all the Real Madrid's, Barcelona's or Man Utd's in the World. This is MY club and I love it.

I'm hoping for Martin O'Neill to eventually unlock the potential here and really make us a force but I've seen that many false dawns as a Sunderland fan, I'm living more in hope than expectation.

Love popping on here for a bit of banter and a good old argument but never take it too seriously (although some people do take it far too seriously and mainly those from the dark side) and I love reading some of the stuff posted by you all. Some funny, some absolutely hilarious, some very touching and some very sad. Its a really good community of like minded footy fans (don't tell them but I also love to read some of the craas posts Lol) from the most passionate part of the globe for success starved fans.

Here's to Marty and his new red and white adventure and here's to all of us as well.

OK then, I'm 45, just an ordinary bloke. Nowt special about me.
Born & raised in Hobson near Burnopfield, later moved to Stanley the great metropolis.

Left school in 83 & there was nowt. Joined up in 84 & did my bit & was left with a lot of demons.

Met a nice lass who I had two kids to. I always say three but the youngest is not mine but her real dad is a complete twat & does not want to know her.
So I be her dad & she knows no other. The next time I see her real one I will mark his card for being a ****, <ok>.

We split up after a lot of arguments & things were just getting worse. Worked out well in the end though as we are now best friends.

Then I met my lovely Janie, how I ever pulled her I will never know but I did. She'd been with her ex since she was 16 & he treat her like dog **** & had her convinced that she was fat & ugly as he used to tell her that all the time. Once she realised that she was attractive to men, she ****ed him off & played the field.

Then she met me & we became true soulmates & you all know the rest there.

My love for Sunderland only really kicked in in 74 when Newcastle got stuffed in the cup final, phew, a close shave that!

Other than that, I'm relatively happy & content but still have that slightly quick temper that I always have had.

Never really been an ambitious man who wants all the latest gadgets or must keep up with the Jones's type of ****e. Never been materialistic.

Just a very simple man really.

Were you on that infamous Milk Cup final council trip from Segga club in 85 vincemac? If so, we shared one helluva weekend together kidda without realising it? I was only 21 and still have the mental scars. Lol

Bus broke down on the way there and everyone was out thumbing up the M1 until the feds came in, Mill Hill hotel had the law called to it (not for fighting but because the staff **** themselves at a few 'northern' lads arguing about footy and was tomb raided the next day. Match was **** but the drink in that club afterwards was sensational and the driver I believe got the old heave ho the day after.

Great memories even if there was no trophy AGAIN. Oh, and who was that ****er smoking the happy baccy? We were all as high as ****ing kites by Scotch Corner and I dont even smoke. Lol
